1966 VW 21 Window Microbus For Sale

This Southern California based 21 window is a stellar example with
minimal miles since its full rotisserie restoration by the VW experts at Cookers.

Beautiful body and paint, all the right exterior trims and bits in place,
The restoration was completed in 2012 but thanks to proper storage and minimal use
it truly still looks show fresh and ready to wow the crowd.

Excellent interior with desirable walk through front seats.

Air ride system allows for easy adjustment of the suspension height.

Strong running 1904cc engine has roughly 400 miles on it since its rebuild.

This is a legit German 21 window Bus, bit some Brazilian clone or hack.

M code tag and body tags are all present and accounted for.

May 31st 1966 production

Code 425 = North American Spec
Code 081 = Split front seats (Walk Thru)
Code 114 = 6 pop out side windows

UF = Shipped to USA / San Francisco

It does appear that originally it was delivered in Sea Blue and white
and obviously now is in red and white.

The sunroof and skylight windows appear to be original to the Bus
and since the M code tag does not show the option 130
(which would be "Deluxe without sunroof and roof windows")
everything appears to be very legitimate here.

A birth certificate from VW would be nice to have to back this up
but one has not been provided.

Typ 25 = Microbus Deluxe, 7 seater, right hand cargo doors, left hand drive
and short center seat (a part of the walk through option)

The walk through front seats are a very desirable option
especially for the sunroof models.

Short center seat normally goes hand in hand with that option while the bench seat models
often got the full width center seat (hence the 7 passenger vs 9 passenger models)

Chrome "church key" opens the gas door

Safari windows up front

The underside remains beautifully painted and detailed.

Gene Berg shifter and Mooneyes bare foot gas pedal.

Very nicely done interior with custom coco mats throughout.

A little more detail in the engine room.
A scant bot of dust in here but this will easily clean up for the shows.

Nice door gaps and smooth bodywork
This is a very well restored Bus.

Love that clean underbelly!!

Sight down that reflection on the side...this Bus is smooth and straight!

The wheels are awesome genuine vintage US 5 spoke mags dated from the 1960's
Great look and stance to this Bus.

Glass , body seals, window rubber and sunroof still look fresh.

Headliner in very good condition.

Dash is outfitted with a modern radio and a chrome tachometer.

Retractable seat belts and a fire extinguisher for safety.

Really a stunningly clean Bus.

Matching spare wheel in the back as well!

Sharp and clean

Looks so fresh, even though its restoration was completed over 10 years ago
but the vehicle has been well stored and used very minimally.
The owner estimates just 400 miles on it since the engine rebuild
with less than 100 of those put on during his ownership.
This has been a garage jewel with an occasional run through Newport Beach where it lives.

Nice ride

Great Bus, great colors, nice stance, super clean condition and a high level restoration.
Ready for a new home.
