1965 VW Convertible For Sale

The color is just plain gorgeous...not an original VW color for the
year
but it just looks
as sweet as can be. Quality of the paint and bodywork is exceptional as
well.

The car features a wide array of one-off hand built modifications and
accessories
that really make it stand out
from the crowd (as if the quality alone isnt enough)

Check out this hand made rear luggage rack...awesome!
Note the black California plates too...an original California car.
(now of course it sports the UK plates!)

Arrow straight down the sides.
Agressive stance with "bigs and littles" without being too low
or wild to be driveable.

5 spoke wheels shine like jewelry.

All new window rubbers abd trims, chrome wipers are a nice touch too.

A super sharp rig.

Karmann body badge...no convertible is complete without it.

Look at the sharpness of the reflections here...extremely nice
paintwork.

And the underside is just as nice!!

Top fits excellent.

Top down it's even better.

The interior in the car is amazing and is brimming with super cool
special
details.

The door panels have to be my favorite part...talk about awesome!!

This aluminum trim panel was custom made just for the car.
Check out the detail stitching and the aluminum knobs and escutcheons
on
the window cranks.
The armrest is a great shape too.

Custom machined guage housing fits tightly under the dash.
Woold square weave carpets throughout.

Check out the custom made pedals...the roller pedal too! Awesome work
(crappy photo though...sorry)

Berg locking shifter with custom leather boot.

The steering wheel is gorgeous!

Well fit headliner in clean white perforated vinyl

Very nice fit.

The seats are awesome as well.

Here's a better shot of the seat upholstery...very nice detail work.

Back seat matches of course...
I cant recal seeing a VW with this level of interior trimming ever.
This is top notch street rod kind of stuff going on here and man is it
beautiful!

Check out the seat recliners and the adjustment knob all polished up
pretty.

Nice accessory sill plates and door endge kick plates.

Get the picture now...this is no ordinary 65 convertible.

Just stunning.

The engine is a show level detailed 1776cc unit that is super clean.
Notice the lack of visable wiring and carb linkage...very very tidy.

Fram auxillary oil filter is a nice addition.
Look at the level of detailing on the carb manifolds, distributor and
fasteners.

The carbs are neatly tucked in at the side with chrome velocity stacks.

Gene Berg linkage tucked back behind the engine.
Check out the custom metal work on the firewall too... the details
never
end.

Deep sump for added oil capacity, all super sanitary underneath.

The exhaust is a one off custom made unit as well, check out the wild
heat
exchangers!

A quick photo up front too shows a detailed front beam with adjusters.

Fender wells are detail painted as well.

Wow.

Under the front hood the details continue.
Check out the mirror finish on the fuel tank and the custom gas cap.

All fresh wiring.

Aluminum hand made washer bottle and brake fluid resevoirs with billet
caps...just insane!

Flawless work up front.

Very nice indeed.

And if the custom work on the car isnt enough... the single wheel
trailer was a hand built one-off creation as well!
These items are not included with the sale, but the trailer may still
be available from the original builder is if the
buyer really wants it.
(I will have to check). Its an amazing bit of work in it's own regard,
but the owner admits to it not being designed very well for backing
up...it gets a bit bound up on itself.

Cool stoplight on the trailer.

So there you have it...this is probably the nicest custom 65 Beetle
convertible
in existance today.
