1968 Buick Electra 225 Convertible For Sale
SOLD!!

This gorgeous Cameo Cream Electra 225 is a top level award winner with a fantastic history.
2nd owner since new, located in Southern California.
Fully loaded with every factory option available for the year.

The car has just 103,000 original miles since new.
It is fully documented and was restored by a true Buick fanatic that has
an impeccable eye for detail and knowledge to make it correct down to every last nut and bolt.

The car was restored a number of years ago but still looks quite fresh.
Aside from a little dust and road grime in the deep corners (which could easily be detailed back)
the car remains in quite show worthy condition.

Its a beautiful car.

The car has won a long list of awards, but the highlights being
Buick Club of America Senior Award
AACA Grand National Senior Award
Chocolate Town Trophy at Hershey (outstanding senior car at the national fall meet)
The best part about the awards is that the car was driven to these events...yes...you read that right
Driven from California to Hershey PA, won top level awards and then drove back home to sunny So Cal.

The documentation and full story of the car is included and is written up in a great
display book that gets shown with the car.

Car was sold new in Seattle Washington on Jan 4th 1968.
The first owner kept it until 1984 when the current owner took delivery.

The story continues with the restoration and continued showings and awards.

Amazing trips across the country with the car...whole family along for the ride!

This Buick has seen some amazing landscape in its rear view mirrors and obviously
a caring family that treated it right. Now with the patriarch of the family in his 90's
(still sharp as a tack), it has been decided to send the mighty Electra off to a new home.

The restoration is 20 years old give or take, but it still shows very well indeed.
It has seen minimal use in recent years but has been started regularly and is fully operational.

Excellent radial tires on the factory accessory chrome rally wheels

The color is called Cameo Cream, which is original to the car.

Chrome and trim is all excellent on the car.

The "autronic eye".

Details abound when you look deep such as the correct period
headlight bulbs with the triangular T3 in the center.

The buckskin interior is the correct and original color for the car as well.
Matching top boot.

The ultimate highway driver...it is no wonder the owner has enjoyed such great long road trips in the car.
This would be a dreamy ride to fly in and drive route 66 with across America.

Plenty of room in that big trunk for your luggage as well!

The Electra 225 model was introduced in 1949 and the 225 represented the length of the car in inches.
The 1968 model falls short of this length by just a half an inch, but that is close enough.

Less than 8000 of the convertibles were built in 1968 and all were well trimmed as it was truly the luxury model
of the Buick line.

The owner of this car has sourced all the original accessories available through Buick in 1968
and they are fitted to the car. It truly is "fully loaded"

Here is a fun detail...the hood has the correct original insulation in place underneath but the owner has fashioned
protective covers for the forward two holes to protect the insulation
from any dirt or spots of debris that the fan might kick back.
These pop right out for the show circuit and keep the under-hood looking fresh.
