1957 VW Single Cab Transporter For Sale
This is a really awesome single cab that is located in Southern California.
It was basically restored from end to end but the original patina
on the exterior was preserved for a very attractive overall package.
Its a very tasteful blend of originality with all the details underneath the surface
handled in a very professional and focused way.
The body is excellent, very straight and solid with the wear and aging one would expect
of a working class truck of this age.
Any rust repair done to the body was carefully blended so it has a very cohesive look to it.
The dash appears to be original paint in impressive shape.
New interior panels in the correct design with side pockets.
Floors and under areas have all been painted and look fresh and beautiful.

Lower edges of the side gates were welded and blended as needed.

The engine was a freshly rebuilt 36 horsepower unit with the
Okrasa heads and carbs produced by Wolfsburg West.
Impeccably well detailed and fitted with period parts.
12 volt electrics thanks to a late Porsche 356 generator.

The engine block is not the original but lined up with the correct month for the production of the truck.

In closing this truck is just too damn cool.
Serious attention to detail by someone that obviously knows their way
around a vintage VW and with the careful blend of repaired and restored areas
to keep a great vibe of originality takes a lot of effort.
This is a work of art...its awesome.
