1957 Beetle Custom For Sale
This car is loaded with custom touches, check out the custom aluminum
bumpers
the turn signals, the numerous louvers...this is not your grandma's old
Beetle!
Its a 1957 body on a 1969 Independant Rear Suspension chassis.
The classic look with the handling and safety of a newer chassis.
4 lugh Empi 8 spoke wheels are fully poloshed, aluminum running boards,
one piece side windows
the list goes on and on.
39 Ford Teardrop taillights, decklid stand-offs, more louvers, custom
ceramic
coated exhaust...
Everything is in fantastic condition...ready for show or go.
All the rubber is good and fresh...this is a car that will turn heads.
Smooth body and paintwork...narrowed front beam tucks the front wheels
in the fenderwells nicely.
Check out those polished billet aluminum running boards!
Under the front hood looks to be nicely detailed...the car's nickname
"Whiplash"
is painted on the fuel tank.
Wiring is all new
Front spare tire well looks straight and clean
Not perfect in here paint wise but very clean just the same.
Hood latch was painted to match...nice early front apron.
I like the polished bumper brackets as well.
The custom taillights and louvers give it that Hot Rod look and under
the
lid lurks a powerplant to back that look up!
Fully chromed out engine compartment houses the 1904cc performance
engine
fitted with 45mm Dellorto carbs,
Bosch 009 distributor with Pertronix pointless ignition, 12 volt
alternator,
custom belt and pulley system...all quite clean.
the trans is a stock unit but the clutch is a 1700lb Kennedy unit and
the
flywheel is lightened to 12lbs.
The car runs excellent and will set you back in the seat as the car's
nickname
would suggest!
Louvered W decklid is quite the bit of work.
Underside is very solid, but not "mirror-worthy" for the shows.
It was built as a driver, and it is good at that, as well as being a
major
eye catcher.
It will hold it's own at the local shows too!
very solid underneath and a good heavy undercoat on the pans should
help
keep it that way.
Inside is gorgeous and features full custom seats and upholstery.
Nice wood rimmed steering wheel, T handle shifter, Monster tach, Empi
floormats,
custom pedal trims
and more.
Door panels are stock style black units with custom handles and window
winders.
Nice door pulls too.
Glove box door features more louvers, lower dash section trimmed with
aluminum.
Fire extinguisher is a nice safety addition, carpets look nice.
In closing this is a pretty slick little hot rod Beetle.
Its not insanely built on the performance end of things, which is nice
as it will run much longer that way.
It has a unique and reasonably wild look, but still retains some
classic
character that makes an old 50's Beetle so attractive.
Gobs of money have been thrown into this with all the upgrades...it
seems
to me to be an amazing deal for that price!!
