1964 VW Type 3 Notchback For Sale
There are many many different levels of restoration out there in the
car world.
There are those quickie respray and cheap seatcover jobs all over the
place, but when it comes to cars that
have truly been done to an exceptional level...there are very few.
This is one of those few.
This So Cal based 1964 Notchback is a truly beautiful thing.
Done to absolute show level and built to be a stellar performer as well.
This is one of those "dream cars" that VW nuts from around the world
lust over. The car has been seen around the world as well, having been
featured in quite a few
magazine articles from all over this spinning rock we call earth.
Truly classy approach, great colors, stance, wheel choice, etc.
It is custom, but without losing that original design or vibe.
The car has the very desirable factory sunroof which is quite rare
indeed.
Crank that baby open and let in the sun!
That deep red interior peeking through in this shot really grabs your
eye and pulls you in.
All new felts and details in the sunroof.
Anyone who has every had one of these apart will tell you how difficult
it is to get them this clean and work as smooth as this one does.
Super clean
All stock chrome trimmings are in place, all rubber ans seals are
as-new.
Fantastic level of detail to the assembly and finish.
Gorgeous wheels polished to a jewelry like finish.
Look at the mirror like finish!
Beautiful car...simply beautiful.
The accessory bumper overriders and guards have a great look to them
as do the H4 style headlights and clear wrap around signal lenses.
Sweet
Side marker lights.
Flat Euro style solid red lenses
Black plates are awesome! I love the original Renfree VW dealer plate
frame as well.
Nice detail to the "S" as well.
The more you look at this car, the more you are inpressed by the
details.
Nice fat rubber neatly tucked under the wheel wells...a little hint
that there is a bit more than a 1500cc out back.
DBK club member...a club known for its stellar high level rides.
Pop outs
Interior is beautifully done!!
Love the seats and those race belts hint that this ride is a fun to
push the "go-pedal" as it is to
look at on the show field.
Detail level is fantastic
So clean!
Push button swtch unit is as nice as I have ever seen.
Vintage Empi "Coach" wheel has been fully restored and color coded to
match the interior.
AutoMeter instruments have been fit cleanly into the stock locations
No speedo in this one...the owner's response as to why, was simply..
"When you are going as fast as this car goes...does it really matter?"
Boost gauge... Hmm... must be a turbo out back eh??
More great details
Locking Gene Berg shifter.
Temp gauges and warning lights as well as a shift light are mounted
where the factory radio would go.
Love the roller pedal too.
