1959 VW Double Cab Transporter For Sale

This pretty 1959 Transporter is currently located in California.
It became part of current owner's large collection in the late 1990's and has been pampered and driven very sparingly .
Always garaged in climate controlled building and kept out of elements with only occasional fine weather local excursions.

The truck has been kept stock as far as height and body, but has been personalized a bit with paint color, interior,
chrome wheels and a bit bigger engine than original. It is clean and tasteful and very fun in appearance.
43,800 miles on the odometer, (felt to represent the original mileage).
Truck has never had any corrosion or collision damage and appears to be all original sheet metal, including the deck and gates.

1959 was pretty early in Double Cab production and you can see that the side gates are the correct
early style with the smaller stamping in the center...later models have pressings that are all the same size.

The chrome wheels look great and jazz it up a bit.
The color combo is super fun.

Safari front windows are installed as factory with the correct wiper rest and spring loaded shafts.

Nothing quite like these babies opened up an a nice warm day!

Great looker.

The restoration (and mechanical rebuild) was done in Pasadena California some years ago but less than 3000 miles have been put on the truck since!
Used for sunny weekend days and pleasure stuff only.
It has recently been fully serviced and is ready to go to a new home!

The engine room is all detailed and color matched.

Pennsylvania historic tags and a clean title.
The history of the truck as it is known is that it was intially from California spent a short bit in Florida
just before the current owner bought it and has always been garaged and kept out of the elelments.
It has recently returned to California and is being caretaken by the owner's son.
