1943 VW Kubelwagen For Sale
This is a 1943 Kubelwagen that is located in Utah in the hands of a private collection.
He purchased the car from Airborne Garage in The Netherlands in 2019
and imported it to the US.
This is an original car with documentation from VW in Wolfsburg Germany.
Delivered new to Oranienburg Germany (North of Berlin)
to the SS forces.
The restoration was done in Spain and remained in a private collection there
until the firm in The Netherlands took ownership. They serviced the car prior to sale
and once it came to the US it was gone through by John Jensen in Portland Oregon.
It remains in excellent condition and is ready to drive and enjoy.
During the restoration the car was painted in Panzer Grey
and was fitted with a 36hp engine for improved performance.
The car is fitted with some period excellent accessories and has a fantastic look to it.
Birth certificate from VW shows the delivery and production dates as well as the delivery destination.
Chassis number on central tunnel forward of the shifter matches the certificate.
Tags in the engine room are all present as well.
The body number matches the Ambi-Budd tag.
A swatch of the original Dunkel Gelb paint was carefully masked in the engine room prior to repaint.
A very fun little glimpse of originality.
The engine compartment is very clean and well presented with many early details.
The engine is a later 36hp block versus the factory 25hp.

Oil canisters in place and visible is the early cloth covered wiring.
Spring plates have the early cog wheel logo
Still cable brakes as original and the early front beam without shock towers.
Very clean underneath.

Unrestored original German gas can in its fender holder.
Functional external semaphores
Notek blackout light on the hood.
Windshield defroster is a super cool accessory as is the directional sign in the passenger side pocket.
Dash pod features a cog wheel faced speedometer.
Ignition key and cylinder appears to be later model.
Wooden duck boards are awesome.
Correct straight gear shift with dimpled knob and hand choke below.
Seats are done in a proper heavy textured vinyl.
