1997 VW Beetle "Rollback Sunroof" For Sale
This 1997 model Mexican built VW Beetle is quite the find.
First of all it is quite rare to find a late model Mex Beetle on US soil
but one in this condition with the insanely rare full open sunroof is really special.
The car is in creat condition inside and out. Finish quality is very good, very minimal age to it at all
vast majority is original paint and it is super clean.
That big power slide back sunroof is really something special.
This car was sold new with this sunroof!
The color matched bumpers give it a more modern look (well...is IS modern)
Registred as a 1968 model (center tunnel of frame is from a 68...the rest is all 1997)
Clean and clear Florida title.

This is a power top by the way...operated by a switch on the dash.
It works well but does seem to need just a little help now and then
as the sliders get a little stuck in the tracks...but with a helping hand it opens and closes fine.
Carpet trunk liner, original jack and tool roll
Original wheels and painted hubcaps.
Odometer reads 19,222 miles as of these photos.
Very clean inside and out.
The exhaust tip is not standard.
Love the plate frame!
The color is called Batik Blue and it is really neat in the sun.
There is some pearl to it so it takes on a purple tone at times...it is the factory color and was also
offered on the New Beetle models at one point.
Painted headlight rings and bumpers as original.
Turn signals mounted within the bumper.
Chassis is super solid.
The plastic trim along the inside of the sunroof has aged a little
and there are a couple of small cracks in spots of you look close.
Dash and interior are excellent!!
Car has air conditioning!!!

Visability is a little sketchy out the back when the top is open like this.
Chassis is solid on the car with no rust issues.
The center spine of the chassis is the only vintage part of the car...the rest is all 97 spec.
A bit of road grime below but nothing major

This is a rare car and one that is doubly rare by being in the US with a US title.
