1960 VW Bus For Sale
![](1960rams04.jpg)
Here is a very fun 1960 Bus located in Southern California that is
ready to roll.
Great runner and driver, very solid body and chassis and an overall
sweet look.

This is not a trailer queen restoration, it was done as a driver.
It looks nice and gets admiring waves wherever you go, but up close you
can see some
small flaws and little things if you are the picky sort.
The chrome bumpers and wheels add a little flash to it, the safari
windows are a nice touch as well.

Side scoops are pretty "old school" additions.
It is nice to see the original taillights in place and the fenderwells
un-altered.
Black California plates are also very cool!

Such a great face!!
The overrider bar on the front bumper does have a little peeling chrome.
![](1960rams28.jpg)
The dashboard has been smoothed out during the restoration...the center
louvers that are normally here are gone.
It is a very slick and simple look.
![](1960rams27.jpg)
Steering wheel is very nice as is the horn button.
Gas gauge has been installed ...originally in 1960 it would not have
one.
![](1960rams25.jpg)
Really solid Bus underneath...this is definitely a dry climate Bus
during it's life.
![](1960rams24.jpg)
Even under the front floor it looks very sound and solid.
![](1960rams21.jpg)
Not often you see one this dry underneath!
![](1960rams20.jpg)
The interior has been changed up a little and a little surf style
introduced.
The wood paneling and surf stickers, etc.
Throw the boards in and lets hit the waves!
![](1960rams19.jpg)
1600cc dual port engine is a great runner!
12 volt electrics with alternator, a very reliable powerplant.
![](1960rams17.jpg)
A Z bed from a Westfalia camper has been installed and the interior has
been trimmed out in grey vinyl.
Simple, clean and functional.
![](1960rams16.jpg)
You can do whatever you like in here...plenty of room for
personalization
but very clean and livable just as it is.
![](1960rams14.jpg)
Front seat and panels are done in grey vinyl as well.
![](1960rams11.jpg)
Windows are loaded with local surf stickers
![](1960rams08.jpg)
Check out the plate frame too!
![](1960rams05.jpg)
Neat Bus...looks like a lot of fun to me!
![](1960rams01.jpg)
In closing this is a great early split screen Bus at a very reasonable
price.
It is totally usable as it is and I think is a very good value for
someone that wants an early Bus and
doesnt want to spend the massive bucks that the deluxe models are
bringing.
The market is really strong on the split screens it seems...I think as
much as this will be a fine and fun
play to for someone...I think it is money in the bank as well.
