1963 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

This is a lovely car inside and out with a fantastic history
and a very beautifully done restoration.

The current owner bought the car in 2018 from the estate of the original owner.
The car had been parked in the family garage since 1977!
Over the next four plus years, the owner did a beautiful restoration on the car.

Due to proper storage protected from the elements,
the car remained very complete and intact and had no rust or notable damage.
The dreamy perfect basis to start with all the original parts, sheet metal and everything still on the car.

The car was totally gone through mechanically as ell as cosmetically.
Numbers matching original engine and all.

The original purchase order remains with the car, sold new August 6th 1963
This invoice documents the original color, chassis and engine numbers
as well as the installed options at dealer level.

65501 miles on the odometer!

Radial whitewalls on correct original wheels with the rare original wheel trim rings

Fantastic body condition and very nice fit and finish.

Only the exterior was resprayed as the original paint on the dashboard remained in excellent shape.

Great color combination and a proper all stock look with a restoration focused on
keeping the car as factory correct as possible.

Such a bright and happy car in these colors!
Uncommon in yellow and it is indeed the factory color for the car.
Yukon Yellow is the color and it was a convertible only option for 1963.

All new rubber and body seals, excellent chrome, everything fully sorted and ready for fun.

Great personalized plate on the car too!

The final year for the small peanut style turn signals
and the first year for a factory fuel gauge.

1963 was also the last year for the small "nose" style license plate light.

Very nice shut lines on the doors, new body trim and all the window and top seals.

Nice canvas top boot and VW logo mud flaps.

Beautifully done interior

Original paint on the dash and insides.
All new carpet, upholstery, etc.

Current inspection tag from Massachusetts over the last one prior to storage in 1977.

Original jack stowed up front

Trunk under the liner looks very clean

With the liner in place

That color combination is just dreamy!

Being original paint inside, there are a few small chips and scratches

Interior panels are all new and are stitched in the original patterns.

New seals on the front and rear lids. Nice attention to detail

Numbers matching original engine was gone through completely as were
the brakes and fuel system. It all runs and functions beautifully.

Very solid and original underneath.
The car required no welding or metal replacement during its restoration.

Floor pans and support rails all look super clean and solid.

Underside of the engine and transmission are super clean.
(red thing on the right is a flashlight put here for the pics)

New shocks and brake parts, heater boxes and engine tins have all been
cleanly finished.

Very nice, no leaks.

Undercoating cleanly masked and sprayed.

Pretty amazing condition for an east coast car.
That long term storage from 1977-2018 was obviously in a very safe and protected spot.
