1967 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This Southern California based 1967 Beetle was purchased by the current owner
through our website in 2013. At the time it was located in San Diego
with its original owner that was looking for the right home for her beloved Beetle.
(Click here to see that original listing)

The current owner was the perfect buyer for it, someone that respected the history and originality
and had the desire and means to truly sort the car out and make it the best it could be,

The car now looks SO much nicer thanks to his attention and all the work done
to it was focused on bringing the car back to original 1967 specs as closely as possible.
He focused on finding original German parts wherever possible, and truly transformed the car
both cosmetically and mechanically.

Its a very nice car as you can see. Impreccable details and still a great vibe of originality
The perfect blend in my eyes.

Here are some details of the work that was performed to bring the car back up to top specs.
As you can see these images are dated in 2015.  Full brake rebuild.

Full engine rebuild and restore...looks gorgeous!

]
Fresh transmission rebuild as well and all the parts very cleanly detailed.

I just love the clinically clean brake drum here...nicely detailed work,

All new seals, shocks, cables and hoses.

Super clean work

Even the original thermostat was refreshed and installed.

Sill very clean today as well.

Always garaged and cared for well. Proper maintenance and extreme pampering.
This lovely Beetle found the perfect home with its current owner, someone that really cared about it.
The car however is just not being driven as much as it should and the owner has decided
that it is time to again hand off the keys, with hopes of finding someone that will continue with
the care of the car and hopefully get it out on the road more often. Its not good for them to sit.

Nice clean chrome on the bumpers, original black California plates fully restored.

Perhaps not flawless in its presentation but it really shows beautifully.

Pearl white is the original color for the car and with the red interior it really looks great.

Nice fit to all the panels and parts.
Correct 67 only rear bumper with reverse lights.

With roughly only 500 miles on the mechanical rebuild, it is all super fresh and clean.
The engine was rebuilt at Old Speed in Southern California and the transaxle done by Dave Folts.
Fuel tank was boiled out and restored as well.

The exterior of the car was repainted once in its previous life, but done in the correct original color.
While the paint job its older, it really does not show its age by the looks of things.

Correct original slotted wide 5 wheels

Very straight and extremely solid

Nice radial tires, wheels look to be correct colors and fitted with the proper hubcaps.

You can peek in the fender wells and see the original paint remains.
There are even spots where there are original grease pencil marks from the factory!

Under the hood is original and clean.
Again, more factory grease pencil markings are present.

Straight and smooth.
Factory pop out windows are a nice accessory as well.

All the glass on the car is original to the car including the windshield!

Original paint on the dash and interior.

Original door panels and headliner. Seats have been redone.

I just love that red!!

Window rubbers look good.

Dealer installed Motorola radio.

The car shows 84504 miles at the time of the photos and
it is believed to have rolled over once,,,so 184k miles but just 500 miles on the complete
mechanical rebuild.

This is the numbers matching original engine to the car as well which is amazing.
I love seeing the details on the engine that are just done right.
The proper short coil, the correct style hose clams and more.

The original windshield does have a couple small cracks and chips, but they have not expanded during current ownership.

All th glass has the proper logos.

A couple paint chips on the body but no major damage

Here is a touched up spot on one of the rear fenders.

Nice beige/tan running boards.

Original headliner...awesome!

Very solid rust free example

New rubber floormats and new carpet installed.

Shifter and brake handle have been cleanly refinished.

Very solid original chassis and floorpans.

Check out the inspection mark still visible in the fender well! Wow!

Birth certificate from Germany, original pink slip and stack of service records.
Fantastic paper trail on this car.

The headlight rings are even the extremely hard to find original Hella SB 12 stamped parts.

Super solid, original and clean in the spare tire well too.

Nice car.

This is a special car that has only had special caring homes in its nearly 60 years.
Hopefully the next owner keeps it up just as well and with the fully rebuilt mechanicals it
is absolutely ready for a long life and many pleasurable miles ahead.
