1979 VW Super Beetle Convertible For Sale

This Florida based "triple white" Beetle convertible looks to be a really sweet car.

Very desirable color combination and the final year for the German Beetle in the US
these 1979 Convertibles have always been highly celebrated and collectible from day one.

The triple white is the one to have for so many.
VW even made a tribute model of the "new" Beetle convertible at one point
(but with a black top...so it wasn't really "triple" white)

The triple white was a limited production offering, I'm not certain of the exact production figures
but its thought to be less than 2000 cars...some say even less than 1000.

Whatever the total number is out there, they are pretty hard to find especially in this sort of condition.

This one looks quite nice and its owner in Florida has kept it well.

Top looks to be in nice shape

Very nice condition,  heated glass rear window

Dash looks awesome, woodgrain finish looks super as does the dash pad.

Sats and panels all look great with very minimal wear or aging.

Factory clock and padded steering wheel.
Aftermarket radio and speakers.

Very nice shape!

Seat padding looks firm!
So often the seats in these look saggy and broken down, but not here!

The owner did mention one small hole in the headliner but I am not seeing it here.

Odometer reads just over 34k miles.
Actual mileage is undocumented, but the condition seems to match this pretty well.

Under the front hood we find the original spare wheel and tire that looks like it has never been on the car.
Looks straight and solid in here and obviously all matchy matchy color wise so this has always been
a white car (many have been painted to look like a triple white)

Karmann body badge is present.
All Beetle convertibles were bodied by Karmann and should have a similar body badge.

Wheels are the correct stamped steel "sport" wheels with plastic center caps and lug nut covers.

Tires all look to be in great shape with lots of tread.

The underside of the car has been cleaned and undercoated and looks great.

Hard to see the floor pans in these pics, but they are supposedly solid.
The owners are older and getting under the car was a challenge...when I asked for
additional shots I could tell they were not into getting on the ground again!

So the underbelly shots here are all that Ive got.

Engine compartment looks wonderfully clean and correct.

All the proper original fuel injection stuff and other parts remain in place
as they should be. Very nice to see how clean it all is as well.

From the top side she is a beauty and has a great vibe of originality.

Not sure if this is original paint or not.
The low stripe along the side is something I have seen on others.
The pinstripe along the hood is more uncommon.
Im seeing some cool Hella driving lights under the front bumper as well.

Lights and lenses look great as do the bumpers.

Clean and clear Florida title on the car as well as some service records
for work done during current ownership.

Looking at the hood in this shot it looks like there might be a soft dent or ripple about even with
the turn signal. I'm sure its got a few stone chips and such as well if you look close
but the overall appearance is very clean.

Matching top boot comes with the car as well!

Turn key and ready to roll!
Recent shocks and struts installed with receipts/
The current owners have had the car since July of 2021
but it gets driven minimally due to their age.

In closing this is a very nice example of one of the most highly prized Super Beetle convertibles.
Great color combo, well kept ,very stock and proper and a fun car for the collector or weekend enthusiast alike.
