1974 VW Standard Beetle For Sale

This is Germie, a well loved and festively personalized California based
1974 standard Beetle.

Bright orange with cream sides and some fun accessories such as the roof rack and gravel guards.

Fun personalized California plate.
This is a bit of rolling sunshine no matter how you look at it.

The owner is a big VW fan as you can see by the others in the background
but age and an impending move and downsize means its time for a couple of the toys to go.

Stock wheels painted body color.

Perhaps not the choice for the purist collector but definitely
a fun and happy driver that someone is really going to enjoy.

VW logo mudflaps, large exhaust tips, customized taillights with the VW logo in the turn signals.

Headlight eyebrows and the correct 74 bumpers with the tube type bumper mounts
that help absorb impact in an accident.

Not quite sure how this was accomplished but it sure is cool

Paint finish looks clean overall but not show car level glossy by the looks of it.

The car has been garage kept and well serviced.
It comes with many receipts and records during its life with the current owner.

Front trunk is fully carpetd and an embroidered spare tire cover with the car's name on it.

Serviced by Bob's German in Stockton California

Slightly fatter tail pipe tips give it a little deeper exhaust note than stock.

A couple more trunk shots

Underside of the front hood

Now to the interior

Super fun pedal covers.
Bamboo parcel tray

Quite stock interior wise with basic black vinyl.

Speakers and seat belts in bacl.

A little lifting of the interior materials just below the rear window

Front seats look good as does the dash and original steering wheel.

Out back is a 1600cc dual port engine with some colorful engine tins and a few aftermarket accessories and chrome.

Engine looks clean and reportedly runs well.

Very clean underneath the engine!

Floor pans look pretty solid

Under the engine show signs of significant recent service.
Heads and cylinders all look so clean. The service records will document what
has been done but my guess is that there are not a lot of miles on this engine

A few oddities such as the lower engine tin being in place on just one side
and not the other.

A nice binder holds the receipts and owners notes on its service over the years.

Lots of hand written records as well as printed receipts for parts and service.

You can learn so much about a car from going through these records.
I love owners that are disciplined enough to keep receipts.

Back out for a final walk around.
Definitely an eye catcher and a car that makes people smile.

Germie is a cute one and sure looks loved, and I like that.
The hope for the seller is to find a new home for the car that will love and enjoy it as she has.

Located in Northern California (Discovery Bay area)
and ready for its next home and adventure!
