Oh the power of 25 horses!!
Beautiful car!
This is a very nicely restored and totally stock "early Oval"
This car sold off our website a few years back and below are a few
images from the previous ad.
It is obvious that the current owner has kept it up well!
It is a 53 model, which is the first year for the Oval window.
It is painted in the proper colors and the overall look is quite
attractive.
Correct trims and taillights, everything looks "right" with the car.
Big mouth flat top fuel tank , matching spare with original Continental
rubber.
Simple Euro style bumpers with the short guards is correct as well.
I like the paint colors on the wheels and the fact that the VW logos
are painted on the hubcaps.
Heart taillights are very desirable and are again, correct for the 53.
I do see that on the front and back, that turn signals have been added
to the bumpers for safety.
What I really like is that they are Hella lights that blend in very
well with the age and appearance of the car.
Very nice...this was a complete restoration as you can see.
Here is where the story gets even better...look underneath and see the
work done.
Fantastic deep sump add on...and look at the correct split case
transmission...all pretty clean!
Fender wells are very neatly painted and detailed.
Not perfectly show detailed as it has had a bit of use...but miles
above the vast majority of restorations out there.
Very nice!!
In closing this looks to be a very nicely done car inside and out and
even on the bottom.
Skilled hands built it and have cared for it since done.
The car has done very well at the shows in the area and Im sure it
would do the same in your area as well.
A great opportunity to grab a nice early Oval at a very realistic price.
