1955 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale
This cherry red Oval Beetle is located in Montana.
It has had a full body off restoration with some mild custom touches
and has always been garaged and kept out of the elements.
It has a nice subtle custom look to it with the 5 spoke wheels and aluminum bumpers and running boards.
Shaved body trim and one piece door windows also give it a clean look.
The interior is all new and fresh and well fitted
Nice carpet
Stock headlights and turn signals hidden behind the horn grilles.
Disc brakes up front, a very nice upgrade.
Looks like recent shocks as well.
Underside of fenders have been undercoated but the inner fenders were left clean and body color
Chasis is very clean on this car
Pans are superb
A tad bit of road grime underneath but obviously a very clean and full restoraion job was done.
The suspension is at stock height, I would think a little "altitude" adjustment might bring it
to life even a bit more...but you dont need to do the speed bump crawl when they sit stock!
Paint finish looks nice but not perfect...perhaps just a bit of orange peel in spots
but it is plenty glossy and very clean and strong on the car.
For show level stuff, perhaps a professional color sand and polish would make it perfect, but for
a driver level car it is really good to go just as it is.
The car is titled as a 55, but the details look to me to be more 56...with the taillights and non-ribbed doors.
Most likely a late 55 model that was titled to the build date, not the model year.
Numbers all match and everything is clean and clear.
Nice reflection in the paint on the side here...very straight body and the aluminum running boards are a nice
custom touch that are significantly stiffer than the steel ones. plus they match the cool custom bumpers as well.

Handles are clean and chrome is excellent
Anza style 4 tip exhaust and a smoothed out apron in back with no exhaust cut outs.

Nice clean hood latch
Painted cleanly under the hood.
Looks like a little spillage at the filler neck dulled the paint there and the round access plates are not in place.
Wiring is nice and clean
Original body tag is gone, but the body number is clear and the smaller Made in Germany tag is present.
Nice clean door latches
New glove box
Speaker grill has been filled for a smooth look, as has the radio hole.
Seat frames are nice and clean
Pedals as well
Sits high and proud.
Engine could use a little detailing but it is an excellent running 1600cc dual port with 12 volt electrics.
Trans and brakes are in great shape as well.
Headliner is very nice
Seats are done in two tone velour and are in great shape.
The rear seat frame and springs are missing, but the matching covers and foam are included in the sale
so it would be a simple and cheap task to complete the interior so you could haul the kids around.
Wheels and tires are like new!
In closing this is a clean car with some nice touches that someone can drive and enjoy just as it is.
Put your own touches to it to make it feel like your own and enjoy the ride.
The price is quite reasonable considering the condition and all the work done to the car.
