1955 VW Deluxe Beetle For Sale
This Arizona based 55 Oval has been in the same family for over 57
years!
The car comes with some great documentation and paperwork through
its history
as well as a birth certificate from VW and some other fun stuff.
The cosmetic restoration was done in the late 1990's but still
shows very well.
In 2023 the rear apron was repaired and repainted.
The car shows well and is fitted with some nice upgrades and
accessories.
Very solid and original body, the car has always been on the dry
west coast.
Proper logos on much of the glass, window rubbers and body seals
still look good.
Perhaps a few stone chips from use but nothing serious or
requiring attention.
The car is a driver and not a trailer queen.
Nice radial tires on silver painted wheels
(full set of original steel wheels also included with the sale)
Nice fit and finish to everything
Wolfsburg crest
Arizona historic vehicle plates.
Massive accessory STOP light is hard to miss.
The car was a US delivery car originally and one of the first to
get the US spec bullet turn signals
that normally are attributed to the 1956-57 models.
Original 4 tab hood
Really a nice car and obviously well kept since the restoration
was completed.
Under the engine lid is a very welcome and wonderful surprise!
A full Okrasa spec 36hp engine built by none other than Mr Okrasa,
Joe Ruiz.
This engine was installed in 2024 and has less than 5500 miles on
it.
Displacement is bumped up to around 1400cc with the modifications
and definitely helps move the car along with modern traffic.
12 volt electrics as well is a nice upgrade.
All the specs on the build
Full syncro transmission as well.
Deep oil sump and performance "Abarth" style exhaust.
Plumbed for an external oil filter as well
Chassis is very solid
Looks like a well done repair to the battery side of the pans but
the rest looks all original and super solid.
Heater channels as well look good.
Interior is very clean and well kept as well.
Done in a simple grey vinyl with matching door panels and charcoal
carpets.
Headliner also done in vinyl
