1956 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

This is a sweet custom 56 Convertible located in Arizona.
It has had a full restoration and is really cherry inside and out.
It features a 2165cc performance engine, disc brakes and a long list of upgrades.

The lowered stance suits it well and the clean paint colors keep it mellow on the outside.
Euro style bumpers with the short guards, the chromed Porsche alloy wheels...its a slick ride.

The tan top suits the car well.

Proper 56 era taillights

The alloys look great, tires are excellent.

The dash is kitted out with a bunch of rare and very cool details such as the speaker grille with the clock and the rare thermometer fuel gauge.
The Motorola "Big M" radio is also a desirable item.
The parcel tray has been modified nicely to hold speakers for the modern audio system.

Top quality carpets in place and some heavy rubber mats stuffed in to protect the carpet.

Restored steering wheel features a slick red horn button that matches with the red interior.

And what an interior this is!
Very bright and very fun and fully custom.

I like the rear seat side bolster speaker boxes...very slick!

Under the front hood there is a matching spare ally and tire as well as a shiny jack and a tool roll it looks like as well.

Not show detailed under here but the installation of a trunk liner and wiring cover will dial that in easy enough.

The performance engine out back is clean and well detailed and is kept to a serious, no flash look with the dark colors and minimal bling.

Here are the specs.

The engine lid is kicked out at the top with the traditional deck lid stand offs...the
little strip of metal that holds the engine lid seal has been removed to keep things looking clean
I do see a little paint rub where the lid hits the apron.
A seal mounted to the edge of the lid itself is the easy clean way to deal with this.

The original 36 horse engine from the car is included in the sale!

Great looking ride...all new window rubber and seals.

Excellent body and very nice paint.

Top looks excellent!

The W decklid with the proper louvers.
Arizona "Historical" plates.

Looks like very nice fit and finish with good gaps and clean corners.
Nice little trim plugs on the jack points...the car is well sorted and shows very well.

The engine and trans are quite clean underneath and show minimal use.
The A1 Sidewinder exhaust is an expensive but awesome system.
Ceramic coated heater boxes, deep oil sump, auxillary oil filter.
4 wheel disc brakes. Fresh transmission with some beefy bits to match the engine and proper "real world" gearing
so it keeps up well on todays fast paced highways.

Disc brakes up front as well...you can see them peeking out through the shiny wheels!

Wolfsburg Crest and Volkswagen Script on the hood

The A1 Muffler

Tucks in nicely

All the chrome and trim is like new

Tires are excellent

Check out those Revmaster valve covers...slick!
The car has been serviced and worked on by the skilled hands over at Competition Engineering in Arizona
and if you look them up you will find their feedback is solid.

This was a body off restoration...check out that cherry clean floorpan!!

Shift pattern shift knob (in red) is a neat detail.
Modern audio controller in the background

Sony head unit tucked in the glove box.
Locking handle on the door.

Bullet turn signals

Nice hood fit

She is pretty low...but not insanely so.

The door panels are pretty slick with the stripe design.

Matching red top boot livens things up when the top is down.

So bright and so fun...makes me wanna grab a Coke and go for a ride!

That speaker grille clock is a great accessory and is quite valuable.

This is one sweet ride.
A lot of time and money went into the build...the fresh interior and engine and disc brakes, wheels,
accessories, audio...all of it really comes together to make a special car...add that to it being a very desirable "Oval Era" Cabriolet
and this is a very nice buy for the money. Ready to go and ready to show.
