1961 VW Standard Microbus For Sale
This stunning California based Mango and Seagull Standard Microbus
has undergone a full nut and bolt restoration that definitely impresses.
Paint and body was done by Deutchland Metal and Body in Hesperia California
and the quality shows in the smooth finish and superb shut lines.
Mango Green and Seagull Grey is the official color combination
and the photos do not do it justice...its one of the best color combinations
ever put on a VW Bus and this is correct for this year and model.
1961 is the final year for the small glass taillights and the bullet front turn signals.
Black California plates and a very cool roof rack.
Correct 15" wheels with painted center hubcaps and excellent tires
The restoration was fully documented with photos that will come with the sale.
It was a two year long project with top level hands on the job.
Correct "slash" bumpers front and rear with proper guards and over-riders.
Stock height and factory original focus on all the cosmetics.
Single stage paint as original.
Interior was restored to factory colors and details by Lenny Copp

Engine has been mildly upgraded from stock with 12 volt electrics and 1600cc
Super clean engine room and the Bus runs superb.
The white hose on the roof of the engine room is a Blaze-Cut fire suppression system.
All proper body tags and numbers are present on this Bus and it all matches.
The underside was totally restored and refinished as well
Minimal dirt from a bit of driving but it would all clean up to show level easily.
Transmission was rebuilt and retains the factory gear reduction boxes.
Rock solid and super clean underneath.
Disc brakes have been added to the front end for safety.
Front end was fully rebuilt with all new tie rod ends and bushings.
Very clean
Nice vintage bias ply tires perfect that showroom stock look.
Interior is beautiful!
Steering wheel is nicely finished and features the Wolfsburg crest horn push.
All so fresh and clean
Correct early center seat.
Matching seat belts throughout the cabin
Really well fit and finished interior.
Proper kick panels under the center and rear seats.
Early grab handle and armrests are present.
New body rubber and seals from front to back.
It really is a beautiful Bus
I really love this one.
Its done so well and with the upgraded engine and brakes it makes it a real fun
