1961 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan For Sale
This sweet Beryl Green Cal Looker Beetle comes to us from Bakersfield California.
It has just emerged from a very recent restoration and is a very clean little cruiser.
Pretty classic style, mild custome with all stock body details
but lowered with custom wheels and a bigger engine.
Very good looking car and I love the color choice.
Euro style headlight lenses and short bumper guards.
Sits at a very nice level...low but not insanely so.
The mild tuck in the rear fenders and a narrowed beam up front.
Definitely the fashion with today's custom VWs.
Clean and simple.
OK...you look all sweet outside...now open up and say "ahhh" and lets see how healthy you are "inside".
Looks pretty decent under here...not perfect but with a new trunk liner it will look pretty sweet.
Apron looks clean and spare tire well is painted.
Looks straight on the sides but a little ripply along the bottom...very solid though!

Nice Optima battery and a clean battery area under the seat...a very good sign.

Narrowed front beam with no shock towers.
Disc front brakes and a sway bar that looks like it took a little whack.
Interior looks very clean.
Headliner is nice and new.
Clean dash and everything....seems very well sorted!
I love the clean dash with the radio block off plate and the tastefully added auxillary gauges.
All chrome horn center is interesting!
The engine is a 1700cc with dual Solex "Kardon" carburators.
12 volt alternator and electrics.
All very clean and simple just like the exterior.
Transmission is a fresh "freeway flyer" geared unit...car is a good runner!
Oh...I alomost forgot the Sony stereo stashed in the glove box with the plug for your iPod...too cool.
Wheels and tires are excellent...fenderwells are clean and painted...this is a nice car!
In closing this is much more than another pretty face.
It looks wonderfully solid underneath and looks clean enough to feel right at home at any VW event.
Its not a full on show machine but whats the fun of having something so nice you cant drive it??
This is a perfect choice for someone wanting a clean and fun car without breaking the bank.
