1963 VW Camper For Sale
The VW Camper is a fantastic thing.
The look, the simplicity, the functionality...it really is no wonder they are so highly prized.
There are many variations on the theme from home built jobs to factory built conversions from all around the world.
This one is in truly impressive all original condition with just 55,000 miles since new.
The one for sale here is a rarity of sorts, as it is the only conversion other than the Westfalia
that was advertised and marketed directly by Volkswagen of America here in the US.
There were many independant conversion companies that serviced VW dealerships , but VWOA
didnt give them the full seal of approval.

What makes this model so special is that it truly is the most deluxe and stylish interior
that I have ever seen. It makes the Westfalia look sterile by comparison.

This bus is a stunningly original and well preserved example.
Never restored, but very well kept and extremely solid.
There has been some upkeep related replacements of parts and some careful touch ups over the years to
keep it in top shape. The front floormat as an example is a replacement...but the panels and everything else are quite original.
The wheels and bumpers have been resprayed, but the paint on the body is apparantly all original!!

The little yellow plug here is from the Zeibart rust preventative treatment that it got when new.
There have been a few spots that have been brush touched up...like along this edge in the door jam.
But when you look in the tell-tale spots like around the hinges and such
the original finish is obvious...and it is so so clean!!
The interior wood is in amazing shape as well.
There are a couple dings and chips, but very very minimal and all touched up to keep things in good finish.
A great assortment of vintage camping things are with it as well.
Headlights and chrome are excellent

I love the detail of the interior kit as well.
Windows are all operational and in amazing condition
Again...bumpers and wheels have been refinished, but the body paint is original.
Interior paint as well is original, however the front floors have been resprayed to keep them clean and rust free.

level of detailing and originality is a shocker...this is one impressive example!!
