This sweet 66 Squareback is a pretty special car.
Original paint with a wonderful fade, original interior in great shape
several rare accessories, runs and drives excellent...and it has some Hollywood history as it was used in a Will Ferrell film!

The car has been completely gone through by a prolific collector in California.
Great care was taken to preserve the originality while making it a fully functional and drivable car.
The engine was reconditioned, the transmission rebuilt, all new window and door seals.

A new dash pad was intalled, the headliner was redone, some sweet accessories installed.

Original owners manual

Original registration slips

Original sales brochure.

Even a copy of the film it was used in!

The paint has a fantastic fade through that gives it that well worn pair of blue jeans look.
There is really something special about this sort of look.
Only mother nature and the passage of time can create this!

Gorgeous!

Odometer reads 26k miles...most likely 126k

The factory clock has stopped working, but an NOS one is included!

Original carpets are in place... some wear as you would expect, but still holding firm

An NOS parcel tray was installed under the dash.

Amazingly the original SB 12 marked headlight rings are still here!

Baltic blue paint

All the tags and stickers are present

Very straight and clean under the hood and in the spare tire well.

Original jack is present

Fuel tank is clean

The tool roll looks complete and in great shape

The brake fluid resevoir has been inhabited by angels and glows with the light of the heavens

Car is very solid overall with the only rust being a spot under the battery.

Super solid

New window scrapers...clean original door panels.

The engine runs fantastic and it is a great driver.
Converted to 12 volt electrics, otherwise stock.

Headliner has been redone and looks superb

Custom coco mats have been installed on the floors and rear deck

Engine is super clean underneath and a brand new exhaust has been fitted.

New radial whitewall 165-15 tires on all four corners.

Rockers are excellent

Is the car rust free?
I dont consider a hole big enough to throw a football through as being "rust free".
It has been supported from above and the battery is stable in it's spot,
But really this should be properly repaired.
The rest of the car is AMAZINGLY solid...it really is a rare find to locate one like this in today's world.

Seats are in very nice shape.

Original upholstery...wow!

]
Headliner...fantastic!

Full circle horn ring is a very nice accessory!

Original Blaupunkt radio!!

NOS parcel shelf is super cool!

The car has a fair bit of dings and scratches
and areas of wear...but I think that is a part of the appeal to me.
Sure...you could paint it if you wanted it to be totally cherry, but it would be a shame to do that.

New stainless body trim has been installed

Great fade on the roof.

Window rubbers are all good

Cool VW man bumper tag

So cool

The NOS white Type 3 only mudflaps are another great accessory

The Renfree VW plate frame is NOT included in the sale.

Lovely

Such a great look

In closing this really is an interesting car. The originality factor is through the roof anf the results of mother nature's handiwork is
fine art to the patina crowd. The work that has been done to it to replace the rubber bits and go through it mechanically have made it into
a car that can really be enjoyed. Fantastic driver and the car draws a crowd at the shows...just a great overall package.
