1966 VW Beetle For Sale
This Southern California based 66 Sedan is a great little car.
It has always been a California car and is very solid and sound.
The car is an excellent runner and has had its engine rebuilt just a couple years ago.
Its well maintained and shows nicely.
Euro style bumpers and nice chrome.
Paint has a good shine to it but has some flaws and fade spots.
Excellent tires and clean caps and trim rings
Door panels are in great shape
Interior is very clean and comfy.
Headliner in nice shape
Seats and belts are also nice.
The coco mats are a cool add on and the carpet has been redone with a recent kit.
The steering wheel shows some age to the finish but the dash is very clean and unmodified.
Rear seat looks nice...carpet below the rear window has aged a bit.
Euro bumpers and amber topped taillights.
Car originally had the US style bumpers with overriders and the holes for the support tubes have
been cleanly filled with snap in caps.
You can see the gentle fade on the roof where it is coming through to the primer.
Its a very inviting patina in my eyes...I love a car with a little character and this car has that.
The engine was rebuilt about two years ago and has been converted to 12 volt electrics.
It is a very solid and reliable runner and the current owner has always kept it maintained.
The engine has been upgraded from the original 1300cc to 1600cc but remains single port
and mostly stock in appearance with the original oil bath air cleaner and all original tins in place,
A basic modern radio has been hooked up in the glove box so the owner can listen to some tunes.
The original radio is still in the dash but has been disconnected after the conversion to 12 volt electrics.
I love the fun labels for the switches...very fun!
New carpet looks nice and the pedals and controls are clean.
Door panels have been replaced at some point and are in nice shape.
1300cc badge is still in place on the engine lid...a feature only found on the 66 model.
A little surface rust on the back side of the bumpers that could be cleaned up if you desired.
Overall this really looks like a great solid unmolested ride.

Here you can see the gentle fade on the roof...kinda like a favorite pair of jeans.
The car is super solid underneath which is a massive positive for the car.
The dry California climate has preserved it well.
Sweet ride and a wonderful driver. This is a car that you can bond to and enjoy driving without worrying about
getting a stone chip or dripping a bot of coffee on the seat, yet it is clean and happy enough in its
look that I bet you get compliments at the filling station and a wave from fellow VW nuts on the road.
