It is my extreme pleasure to intoduce to you...Rhoda.
Rhoda is a 1966 VW Beetle with factory sunroof that is simply beautiful.
(the stunning young model aside her has to be that cute to complete with the car!)
OK...lets focus on the car now...thank you for your pose for the cover shot my lady...
Rhoda is amazing...a super anally well restored car that I think must be one of the cleanest 66's we have seen.
Rhode got her name from her original owner Marge.
Marge and Rhoda were a fantastic pair for many years, cruising the streets of California
and letting the sun come through that sunroof!
Now the car is located in Atlanta Georgia in the hands of loving owners that have decided it is time
to send the legacy along.
the quality of the restoration is top level to be sure.
I love the correct ruby red paint color and the thin whitewalls on the proper two tone slotted wheels.
And that factory sunroof too...drool drool drool.
Paint is supern, all trim and rubber and everything is showroom level.
The stock 1300cc engine is spotlessly clean.
And she runs as good as she looks.
This is what a proper restoration is all about!
The interior is just as the doctor ordered (Dr Porsche that is!)
Seats are stitched in the correct patterns and materials.
All German parts used during the restoration...no cheesy aftermarket bits here.
Factory crank back sunroof.
Pop out quarter windows.
So sweet.
I have a soft spot for 66 Beetles myself and seeing this one really has me going.
If I hit Lotto before this sells, it is going under the Christmas tree for my wife!
Under the front hood is impeccably detailed as well.
Washer bottle with the pressure sticker in place.

Super straight and clean in the spare tire well.
Jack in the holder has been detailed as well.
Im running out of words to say about this one.

OK...I found something to pick on...finally!
The radio knobs I dont think are correct...
Dang...even the glove box is the right fuzzy type...
The car is simply amazing but for me what pushes it right over the top is the history and documentation
that come with it. From the love letter from the original owner to all the restoration photos and receipts.
It is quite the pile.
Mileage notes from the original owner...every tank of gas written down.
Letters searching for parts from way back in 1983 by the original owner.
(note that they were looking for the correct radio knobs... Ha! told you!)

The notes that are included that document the restoration show a window into the
focus on quality and perfection that the owner was after.
It was in California as late as 2003
Simply fantastic. An original owner that cared deeply for the car and serviced it religiously
and an owner and restorer that took it to even a further level to make sure it was done right.
In the end...I think you would be very hard pressed to find a nicer one with a tigher history anywhere.
