1967 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

This is a great car with a great story. Its been in California since new and belonged
to a couple that were teachers in the San Diego area. When they passed the car and their
estate were donated to the University and the car was sold at auction to the current owner.

It was sold new at Wolff Motors in November of 1966 and looking at the chassis number
it looks like this rolled off the line in Wolfsburg in September of 1966, making it a fairly early example
of the 1967 model year.

67 was a year of change for the Beetle and even through the model year there are many
progressive refinements and minor changes done.  It seems that the real VW fanatics
love these 67's and are way into the details. This one is pretty pure and with that know history
to the first owner and such...its a great car for collectors or as a driver.

The car has been repainted once in the original color but the original finish remains under the hood and inside.

It shows well, very clean and proper. Its no concours level car by any means
but it stands proud and brings a smile to all who see it.

Nice radial tires on two tone wheels with the proper flat caps.
These wheels and hubcaps were only used on 1966 and 1967 Beetles.

Chrome and trim all looks clean and bright.

Black California plates have been restored and look great.

Rubber has the trim in place and the glass is all good.
Side view mirror is a replacement, but of the same design as what was on it originally
according to the owner...perhaps a 66 production leftover as the 67 models traditionally have an oblong mirror head rather than round.

Rear bumper is the correct unit with the over riders that dip down at an angle towards the center
to clear the newly designed deck lid for the 67 model

The engine is believed to be the original one to the car and it runs fantastic.

The "H" case number lines up to an August 66 production date which
could certainly line up fine for a September build date of the car.

Fun detail here...original hose clamps!

The car is quite solid underneath but does display some surface rust

By the looks of it, this is all original metal and
its good and solid,
Here in dry Southern California this stuff can last seemingly forever like this
but in other parts of the world a good clean and seal will help it stay good.

Under the rear seat is solid and original

The carpets and seat covers have been replaced at some point
but it appears that the floor mats and headliner remain original.

Original 67 seat belts are here with the attaching loop in the center

Very clean in under the seats.

Original inspection tag still remains under the seat cushion.

Headliner shows some aging to the material but is really quite nice for being original.

Even under the rear window it looks great...signs of a car that spent much of its life garaged.

Seats were recovered at some point and the drivers seat also has a patch.
Comfortable and fine as they are, or if you wanted to improve the interior
you could always recover them if you desired.

Door panels are looking pretty clean

Interior paint is original

Dash looks clean and stock.

Original key

Original trunk liner and wiring cover in place and still in nice shape

Very clean under the liner as well.

Original paint under the front hood and all super straight and solid.

Very clean!

Love it when they are original like this!

Original manuals

Even a 1966 quarter was found under the seat
