1967 Beetle Sedan For Sale

Wanna have more fun than you could ever imagine having in a car?
(with your clothes on of course...)
This is a wonderful little Beetle that will bring more smiles than anything else on the road.
This car has been a very consistant trophy winner at the West Coast VW events for the past few years.
Its been seen in magazines and even on local TV.
And it's not just a fun looking machine...Its a fun driving machine as well.
Loaded with accessories and extras, numerous upgrades and big heaps of time and love put into this car.

We sold the car a couple years back to a collector in New York (where it is currently located) who garaged it,
drove it sparingly and now has decided it is time for it to go to a new home.

OK...lets look past the graphics for a minute and discuss the car itself. It is a 1967 Beetle sedan,
extremely solid California car, nicely restored, quality parts wherever you look.
Its an excellent runner and driver and has had some mild performance upgrades as well as
disc brakes and other safety upgrades as well. The graphics are all done in automotive grade vinyl
and could be removed if desired...but then it's just another clean 67 Beetle... its the graphics and details that make it very special.

H-4 halogen headlights, nice Hella driving lights, custom The Love Bug plate.
(the 4 grille badges next to the plate will be removed prior to sale...they are not included)

Detail of the custom front plate (not legal mind you...but oh sooo cool!)
Very bright lighting... much improved over the stock set-up.
There is a chrome bullet nut on top of the bumper guard that hides the mounts for parade flags (included)

Car has been converted to 4 lug drums and wheels so that Karmann Ghia disc brake set-up could be used.
(We parked it on a wall for this photo just to prove how good the brakes are!... just kidding)
Excellent tires on bright and shiny chrome wheels all the way around.

Far too much fun.

Personalized California plate will go with the car for display.

What have we here?
Thats no normal VW engine...
The 1600cc engine has been upgraded with dual Weber carbs, electronic ignition,
Porsche 911 cooling fan and shroud, Gene Berg deep sump, external oil cooler and more.
Engine has about 12,000 miles since a full professional rebuild and it runs superb.

Underside of decklid is decorated with racing decals...pretty fun.
Note the original back up lights on the bumper...very nice.

The interior is beautiful and features many many upgrades.
Seat,s carpet, door panels and headliner are all in excellent condition.

Very nice clean door panels.

Original lowback 67 front seats with Simpson racing belts.
Chrome door sill plates by EMPI.

Excellent headliner, rear seat looks great too...matching racing helmet.

Headliner and visors all look fantastic.

Full array of VDO Classic style instrumentation.
Tachometer, Oil Pressure, Voltage, etc.

Vintage wood rimmed Grant "Formula" steering wheel.

More VDO gauges, Oil Temp and Fuel level (all functional)
Original Sapphire radio is in excellent condition and does work
(but is currently un-plugged)
Custom aluminum flower vase and holder.

Nice quality Blaupunkt CD stereo hidden in the glove box.

Under the hood is a matching chrome wheel with new tire for the spare, a spare tire tool kit
and one of the pairs of parade flags that mount to the front bumper.

Front end shows signs of a light fender bender repair at some point in the car's past.
The hood fits nice and you cant see a thing from the outside.

The original jack is hidden under the rear seat, but the holder is still in place.

Very very solid and rust free California car...look at that nice tidy floorpan.

Drivers side is even smoother!

Shot under the engine showing the Gene Berg deep sump and the oil lines running to the
external oil cooler just in front of the engine...very nice.

Disc brakes from a Karmann Ghia have been adapted to the front end for improved stopping capabilities.

Pop out rear quarter windows.

Ol number 53 on the door

Gorgeous Monte Carlo Rallye graphics on each side.

Early Porsche 911 script on the decklid hinting to the modifications underneath.

Excellent window rubber all the way around.
The glass is all excellent as well.
Very nice chrome on the bumpers, fat exhaust tips for a hotter sounding engine.
European amber topped taillight lenses.

Perfect car for parades and car shows and it would be a total blast as a daily driver.
If you are an introvert and dont like people looking at you...this is not the car for you.
If you love to meet people and see them smile...you just cant beat it.

On the back edge of the passenger door there is a very slight wave and a small thin crack in the paint.

One sizeable chip in the paint on the edge of the hood and a few very minor rock chips on the front
But otherwise it looks like new!
(this chip has now been touched up by the way...)

A very fun car through and through.
Very well sorted out and tons of money invested.
The owner went with the best of everything and has had enormous amounts of fun with it.
After winning trophies at nearly every event he has taken it to...its now time to retire the little car and start another project.

Here's the car's prior loving owner/builder, Jack standing next to his pride and joy.
He's the guy who first brought the car to us to sell, it sold quickly and shipped to New York to a collector
who has had it for the past couple of years. The only thing that he has done is maintain it and polish it with a diaper.
(Oh...and he has added headlight eyebrows too)
It is still every bit as clean and tidy as you see it here in these photos. I know the guy and he's meticulous!

Overall this is a great car.
Its very clean inside and out, has a solid body and chassis, is loaded with thousands of dollars in upgrades and accessories
it runs and drives beautifully and has always been garaged and professionally maintained...its a well loved car indeed.

Car is currently located just outside of Ithica New York
