1971 VW Bus For Sale
This San Diego based 71 deluxe sunroof Bus is truly stunning inside and out.
Less than 1000 miles on it since completion of a full, every nut and bolt restoration,
this is one of the cleanest examples we have seen come through the website.
The Bus shows very well and from the exterior has a very stock appearance.
No lowered suspension or custom wheels, Other than the chromed bumpers it looks factory fresh
off the showroom floor.

The big bonus on this one is that factory sunroof which is a pretty rare find in the world of Bay Window busses.
The chrome bumpers add a nice bit of flash.
Chrome emblem and vent panel as well.
All new rubber and seals and excellent glass.
The dashboard has been painted to match the top which creates a very clean and unique look.
You can get a peek at the interior here in this shot as well...nice mild custom touches to make it unique.

In back the engine is a fresh rebuild and has been boosted up to a 1776cc with dual port, CB Performance heads,
two barrel carburetor, 12 volt alternator with serpentine belt system and more.
This was a full rebuild with many new parts such as Mahle pistons and cylinders , all new bearings
and rebuilt cylinder heads. Electronic ignition and cleanly finished components and tins.
Auxillary oil cooler system has been plumbed into a very neat ducting set up in the rear corner.
Electric fan pulls in the cool air from below and it is quite effective in keeping the operating temps
in check on even the hottest of summer days.
The painted dash is another super cool and unique part of this build.
It looks so clean and tidy and gives it a bit more of a vintage vibe than the original black.
This is not just paint on the factory dash panels, but a fully molded and sealed fiberglass skin.
The modern audio system with touch screen and bluetooth all integrated cleanly into the center is really sharp.
The added instruments underneath are also super clean and look great.

Factory speedometer and fuel gauge were restored and the odometer reset to zero at the time of the restoration.
In this shot it shows 700 miles, but the owner has been driving it around a bit. It is still less than 1000 miles.
Its like a brand new Bus.

Custom speaker box at the back on the roof.
Flooring is a durable grey wood-like design.
The rear seat is installed, the owner has a center seat for it but it remains unrestored.

on a Bay Window Bus it seems. It is really awesome to see all the details here...just wow!
Front end was fully rebuilt, all new brake components, etc.

The transmission is fully rebuilt and features ""freeway flyer" gearing so it can keep up in the modern world.
