1967 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale
This is a nice solid Southern California based example
of a stock and simple 67 Beetle that is perfect for someone
that wants a driver they don't have to fuss over too much.
The current owner has had the car for about 8 years and during his ownership
has had the engine rebuilt (26k miles ago) and the transmission as well (15k miles ago)
Its got a new battery as of about 3 weeks ago and its been an occasional driver for him.
Its not being driven really as much as it should be, so it has been decided to put it up for sale
and hope it finds a good home with someone that will continue the use and maintenance.
Its got an overall pretty nice look to it and remains very stock and un-altered visually
Paint still shines nice, the light window tint sets it off well.
Nice to see the window rubbers with the correct trim intact and the correct 1967 wheels.
There are some bumps and scratches here and there that could be touched up of course,
but I saw no major damage or structural issues with the car. It really seems like a good solid car.
Stone chips on the hood from use.
Chrome on the bumpers has faded a bit
Interior is intact and comfortable.
It shows signs of use and perhaps a good detail would make it look even better.
Correct 67 retractable seat belts in place
Happy car
And being a 67, a very desirable year among enthusiasts.
Small paint blister on the passenger side door.
A couple small blisters on the front hood as well
Underside looks pretty good!
No major leaks visible which is nice.
Transmission looks clean and dry.
Original floor pans and heater channels with no signs of welding or repair.
A little surface rust obviously but I saw no signs of weakness to the metal.
Another paint scratch...drivers front fender
Another shot of the chassis...quite solid underneath
Spare tire well looks solid and straight
Original paint finish under the hood
Original jack is in its holder
Washer bottle
Proper body tag in place
Not sparky clean, but very solid.
Apron looks good and spare fits well
There is a light wave in the hood that you can see when the light hits it right...minimal, but worth mentioning.
Outer window scrapers have worn.
Good tires on the correct 67 wheels with clean hubcaps
Two spots on the drivers door have been masked and sprayed with a primer
to help clean up a couple bubbles in the paint,
Id be willing to bet if you cleaned off that primer the area of repair would be much smaller and easier to touch up
if you wanted to make it all match.
Solid in the fender well
Good car.
Rear seat in nice shape.
A little scrub and some vinyl treatment would really make it look sharp
Front seats also in nice shape.
Carpet in the luggage area bhind the rear seat
Some staining and discoloration to the headliner around the back
No rips or holes or other damage
Original door panels
Some wear on the handbrake..its a car that has seen a lifetime of use.
Original glove box is intact
Modern radio made to fit the factory hole and match with the trim.
One knob has broken and need to be repaired or replaced,
Padded cover on the original steering wheel
Carpets and mats are dirty but intact
Engine number...not the original case to the car.
1600cc dual port runs great and had roughly 26k miles since being rebuilt by Car Craft in Riverside California.
Engine room is reasonably clean and it runs well.
Rear apron looks like its been pushed in just a bit
and the hole above the latch buggered just a little.
Engine lid closes fine.
Surface rust on the bumper overrider tubes
Factory reverse lights remain on the bumper
Clean California title and current registration at the moment.
Taillights look nice
Accessory vent trim adds a little flash.
I like the mild window tint and the good rubber with the factory aluminum trim in place.
Its a good old car...has a nice vibe to it and an owner that has always been focused
on keeping it running properly and has treated it well.
It looks good.
I'm sure compliments come from passers by and while it may not win any awards
at the car shows, it is still a happy little car someone can be proud of.
Some minor efforts on this car will go a long way in my opinion.
Personally Id love to see the wheels painted the correct black and off white.
Maybe do some minor paint touch up and replace a small part here and there.
Its a great basis to start with if you wanted to improve upon it, or just maintain
it well and drive the heck out of it.
In closing it looks like a good honest car to me with no major hangups
or issues and I think you could hop in this thing straight away and have a blast.
