1973 VW Thing For Sale

This Arizona based VW Thing is a gorgeous example
that has been well restored and prior to restoration was a low
mileage original example, less than 30k original miles according to the owner!

The restoration was completed about 7 years ago
and the car has been very well kept and cared for since completion.

Repainted in its original yellow color with the correct Thing side stripes.
The optional hood stripes do come with the car but obviously have not been installed.

Interior was all redone and looks to be well fitted.

New wooden "duck boards" on the floor are a great look.
Accessory cup holder and steering wheel knob.
Under dash radio installed, new seat belts and more.

Shows very well and clean and best of all it is quite stock and proper rather than wildly modified
like so many of these out there that I have seen.

Stock steel wheels with large logo chrome hubcaps

Fog lights and German plate up front.

Shes a beauty!

Undersides are solid and clean with a good undercoat

Engine and trans appear clean and dry underneath

Very solid

Looks like new CV boots as well

VW logo mud flaps are a nice touch.

Disc brakes up front and drums in rear.

Top is in very good condition

Rear reverse light is another neat accessory.

Very clean interior

Speakers mounted in a nice enclosure on the rear deck and sides.

Seats look great

Very nice!
I like the lemon juice sticker on the gas cap...pretty funny.

Body tag

Car cover comes with it.
Nice to see the original stickers in place.

Engine room looks clean as well

Two barrel carb is an upgrade from original.
The original oil bath air cleaner does come with the car if you ever wanted to go back to stock.

Heater tubes are blocked off, so there is no functional heater in the car.

Nice paint and all new seals at the time of the restoration

Odometer is the original mileage according to the seller and the title is marked as such.

Excellent Uniroyal radial tires

So clean

Really a very clean machine and it is priced right for a smooth and fast sale.
These are no easy cars to restore and the parts are far more expensive than doing a Beetle.
It would be really hard to duplicate this one for the asking price. Grab it while you can!
