The Apache Dune Buggy

Gorgeous show quality restoration of an extremely rare Buggy.

This Buggy is a true one of a kind. Built by Apache Automotive Plastics in Geneva Ohio.
This was a one off design that was dubbed the Veenema-Wiege (whatever that means).
It was built by a fellow for his son who was sent off to Vietnam.
When the son returned he had no interest in the car and went off out of state.
The car sat in the garage for about 20 years or so and was sold off to a neighbor
who in turn sold it to a third owner a short time after.
The third owner removed the original interior which was two tone purple and installed something more sedate.
Then it was sold to a collector in New York who restored the car to it's current condition.

The purple gel coat finish is original, the chassis and drivetrain was restored to show level and the interior returned to it's 70's splendor.

The lift up removeable hardtop in matching purple metal flake is perhaps the most unique attribute.
It opens up to make entrance to the car easier and then latches shut for driving.
It is of course removeable for topless driving as well.
The VW Beetle windshield is also a neat feature.
It is believed that the car has less than 1000 miles on it total since being built in the 70's.
Another cool thing is the Corvette flip top gas cap...high fashion at it's best.

The car is gorgeous, very unique and suitable for museum display or any private collection.
Car is currently located in New York state but can be shipped anywhere in the world at the buyer expense.
