1973 VW Thing For Sale

This So Cal based VW Thing has recently undergone an extensive body off restoration.


Every nut and bolt was touched and the list of new components is long.


The car is well sorted also and the owner has taken it on 200 mile plus drives
and everything works as it should. Roughly 6400 miles since completion of the restoration.


Obviously new paint, interior, top, etc.
New Empi 5 spoke wheels with BF Goodrich TA tires.


Engine is a 1600cc dual port with dual HPMX 40 Carbs.
At the time of the restoration, the engine was torn down, checked and re-sealed
but it was not in need of a rebuild.


Clean engine room, well painted in the deep corners.


12 volt with alternator


Engine room is overall quite tidy...a little dust perhaps from the drive
but overall very clean and well done.


Underside is clean as well.
New Rancho pro street transmission with freeway flyer gearing.
Cruises easily at 65-70 mph.
New shocks, drive axles, brakes and more.


Nice skid plate under the engine.
