
1979 VW Sunroof Transporter For Sale

This beautiful yellow Bus is a 1979 model, the final year for the Bay Window in the US.
It is a west coast car its whole life with no wrecks or rust ever and great documentation.

It has 112k miles since new but just 5000 miles on the rebuilt engine.
It has been beautifully restored and upgraded with many wonderful details.

the beauty of it is really in all the details.

New Koni shocks, recent brakes with all new lines and seals.
New master cylinder, new rear torsion bushings and bearings.

All stock exhaust and emissions items, passes the strict California smog test.

New steering coupler, dampner, center pivot, tie rods and drag link.

All systems have been fully gone through and either rebuilt or serviced as needed.

Front sway bar added as well.
This is a very sure footed, well sorted driver.

The interior has been fully redone as well and is in excellent shape.

Even spotless under the mats.

Front seats sourced from a Vanagon are very comfortable and beautifully upholstered.

Tank has been cleaned,treated and sealed, all new lines and sending unit.

Everything is very clean and sanitary on this Bus.
Definitely a detail oriented owner and builder.

Inner panels of the body have been treated with sound deadner layers and
insulation in many areas as well. It is very solid sounding and quiet on the road.

Great level of detail in all the edges and corners...the more you look, the more you see signs
of the extent of restoration that are really inspiring.

Gene Berg ball shifter with a rubber duck knob...I love it.

Kenwood DNX-6960 stereo with navigation and back up camera.
The backup camera is activated automatically when the shifter is put in revers.
Oil pressure gauge and a digital oil temp gauge as well.

Nice install!

The armrests on the Vanagon seats make for a very comfortable ride!

Super clean

Leading edge of sliding door trimmed with a clear protective layer, same for back edge of the front doors

Vanagon alloy wheels have near new Hankook tires (less than 500 miles on them)

Excellent body and paint and excellent fit and finish.

Rear view camera is at the top of the plate frame

Clean title and current registration.

Excellent window seals and surrounding areas.

This is really a better than new Bus.

Just beautiful, and it runs superb.

In closing this is really a stellar build.
Super clean and sanitary in all regards and the builder went all the way with it.
He has documented every step to the finest degree and has all the receipts and records available.
I think you would have a hard time finding a cleaner one, and with the special upgrades and mild custom touches it is
a true one of a kind. She's a beauty inside and out!
