1970 Beetle Convertible For Sale

This bright red baby is located in the Las Vegas area and it is a fun
and clean driver that is ready for a new home.

The car came from California originally and was restored in the San Diego area about 2004.
It has been well kept and has held up pretty well.
There are some signs of aging and use as one would expect, but it still remains a good looking ride.

I would consider this car a very mild custom as there have been a few changes from original.
It still has a stock engine and is not lowered or messed with, but it has many custom touches.

The body trim has been shaved off the sides and hood, the custom wheels of course are a sporty touch.
The car also has a custom interior and the color combination is not factory.

Top up or down it sure looks like a lot of fun.

Stock 1600cc engine runs well.
When the car was first done, the tins and details in here were all color matched
and looked super clean...now after years of use, there is a little aging going on.

Tires were replaced a few years ago and are in great shape.

Paint still shines nicely

Looks like a small crack in this taillight lens, but nothing offensive
and it does look like an original German Hella unit.

Underside of the engine lid looks great
Motor compartment is overall quite clean.

Top fits nice and is in good shape.

Hood emblem was also shaved smooth.
Windshield rubber is the smooth black "Cal Look" stuff.

Chrome on the window frames look nice and the rubber seals appear to be holding up quite well.

Alignment of the side windows look nice too.
So often you see them with an odd gap between the two parts.

Dash has been smoothed out as well to give it the early style look without the stock black dash pad that you
would normally see on a 1970.
Looks very well done.

Back side of the dash looks pretty basic, wiring is not crazy, but its not super tidy either.

Basic Audiovox radio in the dash.

A couple chrome flakes on the bumper and the shine is just starting to fade.
Replacement bumper blades are readily available and very simple to swap out if you wanted to improve this.

Steering wheel looks nice as does the horn ring.
The black speaker grilles give a nice contrast.  Stock speedometer.

Original jack is still tucked into its holder next to the spare.

Nice!

Spare wheel is a steel rim, not matching the aluminum wheels on the car.
Front apron looks nice and straight in this pic.

Top fit is nice.
Paint quality is not a total show car level, but it is still quite nice
and has held up well considering the age of the restoration.

Hood fit is nice.
Close inspection I am sure will reveal a few stone chips here and there, but nothing major.

Hood seal rubber is starting to age a little.

Door jams look clean

Seat upholstery and panels are done in a nice red and black combo.

Worst spot on the interior is this damage to the outside corner of the passenger front seat.
The rest looks like normal wear and tear.

Visors in good shape

Shift knob is looking a bit worn,
Carpets look like they are holding up with minimal wear.

Underside of the car looks quite solid!
I dont have any images under the battery or in other detailed spots, but from what I see here
it is very confidence inspiring!

Rear view mirror

Just a bit of paint wear along the thresholds
Running boards look good.

Custom door panel treatment.

Here is another underside shot.

Just a bit of wear to the carpets...floor mat is in there a little loose, but this could all be straightened out simply.

A few tools and a couple manuals come with it as well as a replacement fan belt and a mirror.

Lots of receipts from the restoration when it was done in San Diego years back.

I love seeing receipts...they always make a nice read and tell you a lot about a car.

Clean Nevada title.

Even the little receipts were saved!

NADA prices from a while back.
Values have been climbing a bit recently.

Another couple underside shots.

Fun car.

In closing I really like what I see here.
Its a good car with a few special touches.
It looks like it was done pretty well and has had good maintenance
and while you might not come home from the car shows with piles of trophies
I bet that you get quite a few waves and smiles as you cruise on down the road!
Priced reasonably for a timely sale.
