1966 VW 21 Window Deluxe Microbus For Sale

This slick custom 21 window comes to us from Oregon, where it's owner has
dumped a lot of serious time and money into it's construction.
It has been a consistant award winner at the VW shows and always draws a crowd.

The paint is a very dark blue with small ghost flames and it really cathes the eye.
Paint quility looks quite nice...nice reflection down the sides.

Note that in this photo, there is a small dent in the rear bumper.
The owner is having this repaired prior to sale, in fact in a few of the photos the bumper is off of the car
as it is at the bodyshop right now...so dont let that fool you...the bumper is included and it will be dent free!

Very clean and classic look to the Bus but with very nice modern touches.

The Safari rear window is a nice addition...the pop outs down the side
and of course matching Safari windows up front.
All the body trim is present including the bumper trims and everything looks to be in fantastic condition.

Here's a photo taken at a recent show that shows the reflection in the paintwork and you can see just a hint of the
ghost flames towards the left of the image.
(note: wheel center caps are now installed)

Here you can see the flames a little more...its really nicely done as it is so subtle.

You can catch a glimpse of them here as well...wild!

Beautiful Bus!

The owner is a true VW nut (as evident by the VWs you see in the reflection)
and this has been a labor of love for him.

Ragtop canvas is in dark blue canvas...looks great.

And looks even better when open!!!

Safari windows in the front let the breeze flow straight through!

Small "peep" mirror added to the top of the window frame for improved visability.

Here is a photo of the Bus in front of the coolest old gas station!

The interior is full custom, dash is stock and uncut...all quite clean.

Sculpted door panels with inset flames are quite the cool thing.
I also like how the white on the top follows the body line on the other side of the door.

Banjo steering wheel adds some vintage style to the controls.
The stock seats have been redone with a button tuck top pad that make them super comfortable.
The contrastic dark blue piping really sets it off well.

Stock radio in the dash...not often you see that these days.

Very clean and pretty!

Here's a better shot showing the door panels...very cool!

Inside the back is something completely different!
Check out this custom interior!!

Wood "bead board" panelling is wonderfully finished and the custom entertainment system in here is
way too much fun for the kids! (grown up kids too!)

Rearward facing jump seat also houses the audio - video equipment.

The flat screen mounted in the center... my family would soooo get into this!

here's a view in from the back... headliner looks good...everything trimmed out nicely.

Rear bench is upholstered to match and flips ot into a bed!

Slumber party on wheels!!
Things like this is what makes these Busses so cool...room for family and friends,
timeless style that brings you more attention and compliments than you could ever imagine.
The Beetles are great too...but Busses are a blast!

With the back seat up you have nice luggage space.

Under the rugs there is a bit of a suprise here... a hidden panel that lifts up to provide
easy access to the engine room!

Ta-dahh!
Pretty slick...the restoration "purists" may balk at this
(they probably are'nt into ghost flames and custom interior either)
but from a functionality point of view...this is a very cool thing.
In fact in the later 70's model Busses the factory put in an access panel here!

Here's another view of that back seat-bed... really nice.

What a sweet ride!

And underneath it all it is very solid !

Looking good!
So many of these old Busses get rusty in the underbelly...this one looks very sound and solid.

Underside of the engine looks alright...just a bit of road grime...transmission looks fresh and clean.
Mechanically this Bus is in excellent condition according to the owner.
Looks like recent shocks back here as well.

Front end shot...all reasonably clean.

And back outside to the pretty stuff.
In closing this looks like a whole ton of fun!
Its well done, it's unique without losing the classy factor of the original, yet it is filled with
modern upgrades that will please you as well as all who see it.
Nice Bus!!!
