1964 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

SOLD!

I love a VW with history...maybe it is an odd fetish of mine to have original paperwork,
but I know Im not alone...it is cool when you know where your vintage VW has been.
This Colorado based 64 Cabriolet has everything...from the window sticker up until current day.
It is reportedly a 1 owner car, and it has never been out of the state.

Purchased new at  Vern Hagstad VW in Denver Colorado.
The car has just emerged from the restoration process and it is back to its original glory!

New paint, new top, new interior...everything all sparkly clean and pretty.

Karmann body badge on both front quarters.

Original dealer badge on the rear deck  (so cool!)

The car is always garaged out of the elements...just brought out for the photos, not driven in the snow.

Very stock restoration over all, the car kept original equipment as much as possible.

Receipts for all the work done are included with the sale as well as the historical paperwork too.

Really a beautiful example...the paint and body look great!

I like the stock wheels and trim rings, no lowering or anything silly...pure vintage stuff here.

The dash is all correct and clean, no modifications and all of it super clean.

Carpet kit is like new, a thread bound kit...not the top quality stuff, but it looks cleanly installed.

Original seats have been redone...the seating surface in a striped material.
Not exactly original equipment but it looks pretty cool in there.

The door panels are correct, all new door seals and rubber throughout.

Nice looking set up.
If you are a "purist" it would be easy to swap the seat covers, but from a driver point of view they are wonderful just as they are.

Door panels look excellent.

The top fits very nice and is done in the black stayfast canvas that is so nice!

Under the front hood is done super clean...very well detailed.

Fit and finish of the body and all parts seems excellent.

The stock black-wall tires look so "right" on the car...like it was fresh off the showroom floor.
Oh sure, a lot of folks put whitewalls on, but the vast majority of them rolled off the lot with basic black tires.

Stock engine is a super smooth runner and is show-ready cleanliness wise.

Really nicely done!

Wolfsburg crest is present...

The car is really clean everywhere you look.
This was a well thought out and extensive restoration.
The car was quite solid to start with with only the most minimal welding needed
to the rear bumper mounts and the side rails.
The floor pan was solid and needed no repair.

The fender wells are all paint detailed as well...as said before, this guy went all the way!

Paint finish is super glossy.

Original radio in the dash.

Instruments are all functional and clean.

Sharp!

Support rails have been cleanly replaced...floor pans look awesome.

New hardware holding the fenders on.

Very clean under here.

The stock wheels with hubcaps and trim rings look great...tires are excellent as well.

Really nice underneath...not over-done, but clean.

Under the trans looks clean

Under the engine as well...very dry.

In closing this is really a jewel.
With a fully known history with documentation from the window sticker  up to the current work done
and  a very nicely done restoration to make it showroom fresh again...it is ready for another 48 years of service!
