1961 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

This nice clean 61 Convertible comes to us from Las Vegas Nevada where
it's owner has been
treating it with much attention and care.

She purchased it a while back from a film producer and then dumped a
ton of funds into making it a very inique and attractive ride.

It has a mild custom look, with the chrome wheels and wider tires, but
the body is quite stock.

Underneath the car is pretty clean, but not show level.

Everything looks quite solid under here...

Custom louvered panels have been installed over the existing floor
pans...
looking at the red paint poking out in spots I bet this was a heck of a
show car at one point
back in the day...reminds me of the 80's when the louver guys would
punch a handful in your cat if you paid them to.

The important stuff, the support rails look good and solid in these
photos.

The dash is stock and un-modified and very clean.
The interior materials are pretty slick...not original, but the colors
work well and the condition looks nice.

Chrome is excellent around the windows and the rubber looks to be in
fine shape.

Under the front hood is very clean.

Checkered pattern cloth inserts in the seats and on the door panels.

Very nice condition.

Headliner is in good shape.

The top too is in very nice shape but the owner states that it fits
very tight and requires a firm push to get closed and latched properly.

Chassis number

Rear luggage area is nicely carpeted.

12 volt electrics...battery area looks dry and solid.

2110cc engine is very clean.
It gets driven rarely...spends most of it's time in the garage...but
when driven it really scoots!

Very clean.

Heater flap dealies are chrome plated...

Latch areas are clean

Rubber is all new.

Rear view mirror looks excellent.

Glove box is clean...only thing in there is the broken bottom part of
the horn ring.

Pedal area looks clean.

Steering wheel is very clean and nice...horn ring is broken.

Chrome on the bumpers is excellent...bumpers are aftermarket
replacements by the way...not the German stuff.
The engine lid is the proper convertible only version.

Glass lense taillights are correct for the year...1961 was the last
year for these.

Small paint chip on the fender.

Another tiny flaw on the door.

Passenger side mirror is an accessory.

Chrome wheels have the large logo hubcaps with the emblems painted to
match the body.

Karmann body badge.

Tires are excellent.

Wolfsburg crest is very nice...note the hairline paint crack here on
the hood.

Front turn signals are mounted in the headlight bucket.

A couple minor chrome pits here on the headlight ring.

Step back a bit and she looks phenomenal though...great color combo,
light and pretty.
In closing this really looks like a nice car.
It is certainly clean enough to show as is and have some serious fun
with.
Drive it. play with it...and keep it for the future.
A wise investment indeed.
