1956 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

SOLD!

This New York based 1956 Oval is a very clean restored example that the owner has had in his garage
for the past couple years. He bought it from a fellow in South Carolina that did the restoration.

After getting the car in 2010 he had the engine fully gone through as well as the electrical system sorted out
and the car is now a fantastic runner and driver.  Just turn the key and go!

It is a clean classic vintage style restoration to a very nice level.
Not over the top perfect concours quality, but very presentable and pretty.

The dash is nice and clean and the red interior is a very fun contrast to the green exterior.

Stock height, the wide whitewalls on two tone wheels...it has it all the way it should be.

The interior is very nice condition with no notable wear.
The seats are a bit soft by the owner's admission...but this is pretty common with old VWs
Not sure what padding is in the seats...foam or the original horse hair...but regardless they look fine.

I like the bamboo parcel tray and the great radio in the dash.

Bumpers are aftermarket replacement in excellent condition.
Registered with historical plates in New York.

Underside of the engine lid looks very clean.

Nice paint and body...really shows well.

Check out the refection down the sides...smooth!
The owner states the doors open and close so smooth...the perfect "click".

The whitewalls have yellowed a but but I would think they would brighten up with some "bleach-white"
and a bit of a scrub.

Check out the cool VW logo accessory key in the ignition...I have seen these before...really nifty.

Under the front hood is carpeted and looks clean.

Rear floor area looks nice and clean

Love the colors!

Another good reflection shot!
Fantastic door gap...so straight.

OK...its pretty up top...lets look below a little and see what is going on.

The transaxle is a synchromesh unit that allows for very smooth shifting.

A bit of surface rust on the muffler as to be expected.
Rear apron has been replaced at some point but done very well.

Fenders on the back look to be replacements but very well fit.
I do see a rust spot on the bumper mount in this image...would not be difficult to repair.

More underside shots in a bit...

Interior is nice!

Slight water stain on the cloth headliner near the rear window.

Another front trunk shot.

Under dash looks fine.

Fender well shot

Floor pans look very good...heater channels as well.

The original 36 horse engine and 6 volt electrics...wonderful.

Check out the awesome Blaupunkt radio!

Strong runner and driver and quite clean.'

Rubber mats in very good condition.
Carpet seems well fit and of good quality.

Nice to see the assist straps with the proper aluminum hooks in place.

Clean hardware on the door hinges adds some quality points.

Looks like there may have been a little rust repair done back here but it looks solid now.

Floor pans themselves are great.

Engine is very clean and dry underneath.

visor and mirror.

Glove box is an original.

All window rubber and trim looks to be in great shape.

In closing this really looks like a very nice car for the money. Its not "perfect" but it is priced to reflect that
and even wth the minor issues it shows very very well and is certainly something that will draw endless compliments
wherever you take it. A great entry into the Oval era for the price of a later model.
