1965 VW Westfalia Camper For Sale



Here's a beautiful L87 Pearl White Westfalia camper.


That's one of my favorite colors, a solid L87 Pearl White.


Keeps the interior of the bus cooler in hot climes...


The L87 single stage enamel paint is only 7 years old and looking like the day it was painted.


Lovely corners, free of dents and dings.


It's just the right stuff here, a camper that's beautiful and also practical.


This Westfalia is originally a Texas Belle, now it's an Ohio Buckeye!


Love those slatted windows!


The bus was restored in 2010 and was a super solid example to begin with.


The bus needed no major repair or replacement work outside the battery tray.


All over the bus is good solid factory metal.


Nice smooth roof.


Now starting with all the interior camping devices..


Children's cot.


That's one of the cool features of the Westfalia is this cot, how much fun can the kids have when camping?
This is the perfect *family vehicle*.


Per birth certificate the bus was a Texas native, originally sold there in 1965.


Front cabin is very tidy, to original specs.


Nice and clean door panels.


The front seat has been repadded and  recovered in original style mesh material.


Steering wheel is a reproduction, in very presentable condition with a few hairline cracks.


Lovely dash pod.


Original accessory windshield washer pump.


Door sills are in great condition.


Very clean cabin floors.


This bus was the 22nd SO42 built in February  1965.

Original Westfalia *Clam shell* lights, but curtains are reproductions made to the original look and pattern.

The flooring is in perfect shape.


Nice choice of period style flooring.


Attention to details, door edges are in perfect condition.

New tie rod ends, brakes and cables at the time of the restoration in 2010.


Engine rebuilt about 9,000 miles ago (in 2010) and a recent top end rebuilt under 800 miles ago.
New heads, pistons and cylinders and a doghouse cooler added.


Original air cleaner and all fixtures.


Engine compartment is very nice and orderly.
Motor runs very well, transmission shifts good, does grind on downshift
to 2nd on occasion.
The bus also has a new wiring harness, new brakes and cables as mentioned before
and a new gas tank and sender.


It's nice and clean underneath the motor..


And behind motor as well.


Love that L87 Pearl White paint!

Another Westfalia feature I admire are the folding slatted windows.

Offered here is a great example an  absolute winner. The German made combination of reliable Volkswagen
engineering plus camping modifications and technology done by the Kings of the trade Westfalia.
This particular bus started off as a nice dry well kept Texas bus, from new into the 1980's and then kept in storage
in Ohio until it was restored in 2010.
