1966 VW Double Cab For Sale

SOLD!!

This 1966 Double Cab is located in Florida.
It is a pretty clean looking ride, good runner and driver.
It is not a virginal perfect example, it has had some rust repair and bodywork.

M code tag is present

As is the body tag...title is clean and clear.

The underside looks pretty good.

Inside things are painted up good, lots of new rubber and materials

Finish level is not flawless ...little things here and there, but not bad.

Its a 66 model with the big rear window.

Gates are a little bit wavy but the overall look is clean.

Gotta love a double cab...load up the family and your stuff!

The interior is clean, seats done in black vinyl, interior panels and mats look fresh.

Floors show signs of some patching and rust repair...but they look clean and solid now

You can see a seam here from some panel replacement

Same back here...looks like the edge was replaced but fairly cleanly.

Passenger side floor.

Nice fit to the passenger door...lights and lenses look clean.

New rubber seals.

Under the seat looks clean!

A few little details like the rubber seals pulling in the corners...it's all little stuff, but a part of why this is priced
where it is versus the show level restoration examples.

Bed looks pretty darn good actually...these are so often beat to heck...this one looks nice.

This is the spot that almost all single and double cabs have some issues...at the hinges on the bottom edge of the side gates.
This one looks to have had some repair.

Interior panels look clean.

Rear seat

Heavy grain vinyl on the seats.

Looks good in here!

Cool truck.

Engine room looks pretty clean.
It is a good runner and driver too.

If you are looking for a clean "driver quality" Double Cab  at a price that is not crazy, this is certainly in the running.
From the sidewalk view of it driving by it looks pretty mint!

A lot of these trucks had hard lives and really got thrashed...this one looks like it survived well
and has had a decent restoration.

Seat stand mats look new.

Floor under the back seat

The things that keep it from being amazing are mostly finish issues...if you look real close here
you can see that the body seams have lost some definition from bodywork being done, etc.
Its not perfect...I am sure there is some filler on this panel.

Dash looks un-cut and proper.
No radio in the hole and the steering wheel has been restored a bit amateurly...you can see the loss of shape in the spokes.
Im being picky here...sorry for that, but I just want to make sure that any potential buyer knows it is not  top quality.
From first glance it is easy to be taken in...man it sure looks sweet...and it does!  But the "devil is in the details" as they say
so you will notice this little stuff when you get right in front of it.

OK...I think I have shown it well enough for you and explained the truck and it's flaws and benefits.
It really is a good looking rig and considering all that has been done to it and the condition of the car...it seems
like a very good deal to me for the asking price. You can see others on our website that are double the money!
Sure...those are nicer...but for me...I'd rather have this one AND a nice Beetle off the site for the same money!
But if you really want a perfect example...this might not be the one for you. But if you want one you can use
and enjoy and not break the bank to get it...this is your truck!
