1957 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale
This beautiful "Diamond Green" 1957 Beetle comes to us from Arizona.
It is a very nice stock example that was restored from the ground up
a few years back and has been well maintained and cared for by its owner.
Fantastic color combination, the car really shows well and attracts endless positive comments
when displayed out there in the world.
All stock and proper when it comes to trim and details.
Beautiful chrome, all glass and rubber is excellent
body trim, lights and bumpers look fresh and clean.
1957 was the final year for the Oval window design that in my opinion is the most beautiful
Beetle model, and in a color like this, it is really evident.

Birth certificate from VW shows that the car was built on January 5th 1957
and left the factory destined for the USA on January 8th.
The original color of L 412 Diamond Green is what it is today and the interior done in
Light Beige as noted on the certificate (although it does show that it might possibly have been green)
The interior has been done in light beige leatherette and looks to be in nice condition.

Engine was rebuilt at the time of the restoration.
This was all completed about 5 years ago, but driven very minimally since,
Engine number.
Looking up the case number here it shows to be a late 56 production engine
which is pretty close to the January production date...it is not the original case, but its close.
Tool kit is complete as well!
Body tags are all here, chassis and body are matching.
Looks very straight in here, wiring is clean, original jack in the holder.
Speedometer looks like it was restored at the time of the resto and just 378 miles since.

Deck lid is correct and excellent. Nice to see the inner clear lens in place as well...these are often gone.
Inside the rear fender wells looks very solid and straight as well
I believe the passenger rear fender here is a replacement.
Drivers side rear fender has the correct pressed stamping along the mounting flange.

This was a professional restoration by a known Arizona based shop
and the history of the car goes back quite a ways. Its been with the current owner for 22 years
and with the restoration completed 5 years ago and less than 400 miles on it since...it still looks fresh.
In closing this is a really nice Beetle. Best of all it looks like it has always been
a really nice and solid straight car. No signs of rust or crazy metal work, everything fits as it should
and is well detailed and sorted.
Great color, great car. Something to be proud of.
