1964 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale

SOLD!

This LA based 64 Sedan is a pretty nice looker.
Mild modifications from stock but still a classic vibe to it.

Early style taillights and plate light give it a look of an earlier car.
Shaved body chrome and smooth simple blade bumper on the back give it a very clean appearance.

Aluminum running boards and the polished wide 5 5spoke wheels also blend well with the paint color.

Underneath the car is very solid.

Brakes were done not long ago...engine rebuilt about 3000 miles ago.

Auxillary oil filter.

Nice smooth looking heater channels

Looks quite solid.

Urethane trans mounts and support.

Heater boxes are present but not hooked up.

Pan looks very good from what I can see here!

Tires look excellent.

Looks quite clean up in the engine by the heads...signs of a low mileage engine.

Light layer of grime and oil but it does not look to be a heavy leaker or anything.

Another pan shot.

The polished 5 spokes are in nice shape.
Tires on all four corners are excellent.

Chrome lugs and center caps.

Odometer reads 12334 miles...actual mileage on the car is unknown.
Miles on the engine since rebuild is just about 3000

Interior is clean and custom.
Modern audio system installed, billet aluminum handles and knobs.

Door jams look clean, door seals are nice.

The aluminum running boards are slick as are the door sill trims.

Glass and rubber all look good.

Not lowered or messed with...all stock suspension wise.

The headlight eyebrows give the car a bit of a sleepy look.
Front bumper is US spec with overriders...rear is smooth blade.

Hood trim has been shaved off but the VW emblem remains.

Clean around the hinges.

These photos really do not do it justice...get it out in the sun in a pretty place and it will really shine!

Door fit looks good,

Here is a small paint flaw on the engine lid.
There are a few small chips and scratches on the paint, but it is minimal.

Tires look like new!

A couple of other small chips along the top edge of the engine lid.
Perhaps it is fit just a bit tight.

Apron looks good. Decklid seal is coming apart a bit.

Chrome bumper brakcets, shaved overrider support holes...looks like a nice fat tip exhaust.

The engine is a 1641cc dual port, 12 volt electrics with alternator.

Owner states that it runs and drives very well.
Transmission was rebuilt as well and the battery is very fresh.

A little bit of chrome here and there, but mostly stock.

I like the look of the door panels...nice design.

Glass is good and it fitted with the aluminum trim rubber.

Here is a closer shot of the door panel.

Carpet kit is nice...very cool custom steering wheel.
I like the oil temp gauge under the dash as well.

Headiner looks nice.
Big whopping speaker box in the back.

The seats both have some damage to the vinyl on the sides.
This could be repaired by a good upholstery shop for not much money I would think.

Door panel is not a perfect fit along the top...a bit of a gap.

Love the staeering wheel and the Wolfsburg crest center.

Chrome looks nice, vent wing seals are good.

Headliner looks quite clean.

Velour material is in nice shape...the grey belts are recent as well.

The early taillights really help age back the car a few years...this style stopped in 1961.

Clean title and registration.

Under the front hood is carpeted.
The spare tire is a bit too fat to fit down in the well...so it sits up top.

Wiring looks decent behind the cover.
Looks like the original color of the car was Sea Blue.

Tires filled with nitrogen.

Visors and mirror in nice shape.

Pioneer head unit.

Boom!

This is a clean driver quality car...it's not a flawless show machine.
But obviously a lot of time and money has been spent on it over the years to make it something a bit different from
your average Beetle without being so wild it really sticks out. Its a mellow classy look.

I apologize for the not-so-inspiring photos.
The owner did their best, but sometimes a good car just looks "OK" if the photos are average
and I think this is the case with this car.

Oh...here are a couple of quick shots of the trans, which has also been rebuilt recently.

Recent trans, recent rebuild on the engine, new brakes, new tires, new battery...there is a lot going on here!

Good looking ride.
And priced quite reasonably!
