This is a beautifully restored VW
Thing that is located in Southern California.
It has been garaged and well kept by an adult owner that has used it
for cruising along the
So Cal coastline and to run around town on a nice day.
Very nice quality work on this one and
a nice classy color combination.
It is noce to see a Thing in a darker color...so many of them were
yellow or orange
seeing one in a little classier paint scheme is pretty cool.
The owner has the doors off and safely stored and likes to run it in
full open set up like this.
The interior is excellent, nice modern audio system and some cupholders
for your favorite drink.
Speakers in boxes in the back luggage deck.
Side curtains are included and are stashed under the front hood.
Odomerter reads just over 62,000 miles.
Very clean under the front hood.
Top is in great condition
Wood "duck boards" on the floor are awesome!
Seat belts installed in all locations.
Seat upholstery is in excellent shape.
All stock as far as suspension and drivetrain.
Never modified which seems a rarity in the world of Things.

The doors clip on quite easily.
1600cc dual port engine runs fantastic and is quite clean.
This pic and the few below were from when the current owner bought the
car from a dealer in Texas...you can see
that the car was well done from top to bottom at the time of the
restoration
Engine has a few miles on it since these pics were taken but it is
still very clean.
Here is a photo of the car with the doors fitted.
And this final photo is of the car today...still in the same stellar
condition as when he bought it.
A wonderful car that is really a blast to drive. There is really
nothing quite like a Thing!
