1969 VW Beetle Sedan For Sale
This stunning red 1969 Beetle Sedan has undergone a complete
restoration by its owner, a Mercedes/Porsche/BMW mechanic in Newport Beach California.
This was a fun side project for him and his son and they really did a fabulous job.
The paint quality is superb on this car...it really looks amazing up close,
far far nicer than I normally see on a late 60's Beetle...they certainly brought it to a top level shop.
Everything else is done to a level that matches...the car has a total showroom appearance.
New everything...body seals, trim, running boards, wheels and tires, paint interior...the whole shootin match.
Its just beautiful.
Lets look in at the details...door rubbers look great, nice to see clean hardware...not painted over.
Door panels are new and very clean.
Handles and controls are clean and well detailed.
Domelight works!
New visors, headliner is well fit.
Dash is super clean and the carpet well fit.
Great color combination with the bone white interior and the bright red exterior.
Seats are excellent...high quality work here too...note the buttons at the top as original.
Cheap seatcovers dont have those!
Dash pad is excellent and fits very well...glove box door has the same glossy finish as the exterior.
Grab handles are in place!
Detail of the buttons... seing someone go to this level of detail always makes me smile.
Headliner is very clean.
Rear seat is excellent...nice seat belts in all seating spots.
Steering wheel has a comfortable wrap...horn ring and button are clean and in very nice shape.
New body seals and fender beading.
Car is wonderfully detailed.
5.5" wide wheels add a sporting look while retaining a stock overall vibe.
Underside is well undercoated to protect the body.
Excellent fit and finish to all body panels.
Tires are like new.
Hopefully you can catch the details here and that they grab you as well as they grabbed me when I inspected the car.
It is as nice, if not nicer, than it appears in these photos.
Check out the reflection down the sides...smooooooth!
very solid underneath
The only spot I noticed any sign of metal repair is here in the front fender well where there
is a very cleanly done patch.
Very solid and clean underneath...not show car stuff, the car was built to drive and it does that very well.
Electric washer bottle and pump...another very nice touch!
Matching spare with new tire.
Spare tire well is painted black and appears very clean.
Jack is in place.
Nice carpet mat in here and the wiring cover is firmly fitted.
Clean and straight and nice paint even under the hood!
Bumpers are excellent.
Solid chassis in all the spots that you want one to be solid!
Underside of engine is clean without being silly.
Great reflections on this car.
The engine is a recent rebuild and as a Mercedes mechanic, the owner is well versed in working on German
cars and keeping them running right. The engine has very minimal miles since the rebuild
so it has a full life ahead of it!
Stock 1600cc dual port. 12 volt alternator, vacuum advance distributor, all stock shrouding and air cleaner in place.
Looks and runs fantastic.
The brakes were all done at the time of the restoration and the transmission (manual 4 spd) is in very good operating condition.
Fly in and drive this one home!!
Clean
Coco mats are a nice touch and look very good against the grey rugs.
Odometer was rebuilt and reset at the time of the restoration...1331 miles since being done!
In closing I hope I have properly conveyed that this is a really nice, and I mean REALLY nice example
of a 1969 Beetle. The body and chassi look very solid and straight, the paint is superb, the interior excellent and the mechanicals all
well sorted and if you are someone who wants to buy one done "right", this car is well worth stepping up to!
