1968 VW Beetle For Sale
This slick little dark blue 68 is located in Las Vegas and is in the
hands of a very long time owner.
It has been in the same family since 1976!!
In around 2003 the car got a new engine and other work and while it is
no show car,
it still gets attention on the road and looks and drives just fine.
Nice mild custom touches such as the 4 tip exhaust and the chrome
wheels and tineted windows.
Front end is slightly lowered...
Carpet is holding up pretty well inside
A few flaws here and there such as this broken vent wing latch.
The biggest "boo-boo" is this dent on the hood..."ouch"
Not a difficult fix as long as you have a good paint match...
Interior is in nice shape...dash pad is good.
headliner is good...seats are a velour and vinyl combo
145-15" tires up front
The dark interior looks very clean against the dark blue paint.
Pop out rear quarter windows are a nice accessory.
Speaker panel behind the back seat...seat belts in back too.
Horn button is cracked and is a little loose.
Sure it has a few little flaws...but stand back and it really is a
sweet looking car!
Back inside...nice Scat shifter.
Accessory pedal covers are clean too and the little fan helps keep the
air moving in that hot Las Vegas weather.
Some minor cracking on the rear view mirror plastic...
Seats are in very nice shape.
Car has been in storage for a bit...last tagged a couple years
ago...owner is selling it as he just does not get the use out of it
that it deserves.
Dang that dent...if it were not for this little bit of damage the car
would be stunning on the outside!!
Again...an easy fix, nothing structural at all...just something fell on
it...
Headliner is excellent...
Oh...another minor flaw...
Body and paint look fantastic in the photos!
Original owners manuals included.
Sold new on November 14th 1967 at Gus Mozart VW
For me one of the huge cool factors about this car is just how solid it
is underneath.
It has always been in a dry climate and that is very obvious when
looking underneath.
A small dent and paint scuff on the leading edge of the front
apron...you really only notice this from below.
Check out that awesome virgin solid floorpan!
Door panels are excellent.
Good door seals and body rubber...nice to see the check rods in place
along with the rubber seals
Under the front hood is carpeted and the original jack is here.
Stock original paint spare wheel.
Out back is not bad either...
mechanical advance 009 distributor
Stock oil bath air cleaner...12 volt electrics
Its a good runner overall...
Odometer reads 44,600 miles.
Roof looks great
A few small dings and scratches on the aluminum body trim...
Chromed taillight housings.
Amber topped taillight lenses
4 tip exhaust...bumper chrome looks decent.
Door handle scratch guards are another nice accessory.
Vitaloni Bravo mirrors.
Headlight eyebrows are fun...
Scratch in the window tint on the drivers side door.
Retractable seatbelt on the drivers side.
Pasenger side is missing the belt and mechanism
In closing though this really looks like a fine little car.
Clean looks and a very solid underside make it a very attractive car to
go after.
Fix a few of the flaws and it will be a pretty impressive weekend ride
for very little money.
Its a bargain really...I expect this to sell quick
