The Double Cab is one of the most requested models here at Oldbug.
It seems every week we have been doing this (15 years now!) we have people call or email wanting to find a nice double cab.
They are very hard to come by it seems and supply is nowhere near demand...and you know what that means...the values are climbing!
This particular example is located in Southern California and has been in the same owner's hands for quite a few years.
It was fanatically well done and well kept and looks as showroom fresh as it was when it was first restored.
A lot of NOS parts went into the restoration and the level of detail is very high.
Even the gate latches are clean and these things chip just by looking at them it seems!
Bumpers are excellent
The side gates are without a doubt the cleanest ones I have ever seen!

These are the early style gates as well...used in 59 and early 60 I believe, with the small pressing in the center.
The chassis and underbelly of this truck are as solid as you would ever dream.
Disc brakes on the front with Porsche bolt pattern

Chrome emblem and safari windows.
Very straight and smooth down the sides.
Interior is done in the "Deluxe" Bus materials and trim line and it looks fantastic.
Custom coco mats over the stock rubber mats.
Floors are excellent.
(that is just a bit of dirt...I am sure it will polish off quite easy)
Seats are fantastic, color matched seat belts.
Rear floor is excellent as well
Headliner panles are nicely fit
Very cool color matched first aid kit
Barndoor steering wheel is a very rare addition.
Early style grab handle is a hard to find item as well...and this was an NOS one when installed!
Divider wall panel was done in the Deluxe style with the shelf and trim
Rockers are solid and smooth and the polished side step is a neat accessory.
Porsche Gas Burner wheels are fully polished and detailed and are wrapped with high end rubber.
Love that side step!
Drum brakes out back...and still with the reduction boxes in place.
Transmission gearing has been upgraded to a "freeway flyer" level of gearing that allows for
easy cruising at modern higway speeds.
Engine is super clean and dry underneath and the ceramic coated exhaust still looks like new.
Again back to the gates...just fantastic!

The engine is a pro built 2110cc engine, fully balanced and detailed to a spotless finish.
I love the restrained finish...no flashy chrome.
The carb linkage is custom and super low profile, the coile is mounted behind the fan shroud.
Bosch battery...nothing but the best!
I like the mesh air cleaners too!
Very clean in here and it runs as good as it looks!
This is a very solid, quiet and well sorted truck.
