1959 Karmann Ghia Coupe For Sale

This Southern California based Ghia is one sweet ride.

The "lowlight" Ghia models from prior to 1960 are certainly
the most beautiful of the breed and with their low production numbers
they are quickly becoming one of the hottest commodities in the VW collector scene.

This example has been full restored and is well detailed wherever you look.

Very straight and smooth body on the car.

Looks excellent inside the nose where it is super common to find signs of body repair...this one looks great!

The interior is done beautifully as well.

Great combination with the exterior colors and done with an eye for the original
stitching designs and such.

Heat seamed door panels, nice touch.

Nice mounting of the accessory instruments under the dash and with a mount for the
fuel reserve lever.

Sunvisors are impressive copies of the very rare originals that were made by the owner.

Other fun stuff is the original Ghia clock that has been reworked as a tachometer.
Very clean and very stealth. Nice choices made if someone ever wanted to return the car to original
specs without any major issue.

Blaupunkt radio is super cool and has the proper Ghia only knobs.

Felted glove box as original

Pinpoint vinyl headliner material from SMS

Rear seat bolster pillows are a fun vintage touch

Very nice

Birth Certificate info sheds light on the history of the car.

Lots of really cool hidden details like this.

Counterweighted crank, H beam rods, 94mm pistons and cylinders
Rare Crower intake manifolds , match ported to the heads,
and Porsche 356 Zenith 32NDIX carbs with Knecht air cleaners.
Carbs have been modified for the increased displacement and power while retaining
that vintage speed style appearance. 009 distributor, 12 volt electrics with alternator
Optima battery and all very clean and pretty and well tuned, ready to fly.

Stainless exhaust system
Deep oil sump

Oil cooler with electric fan
Empi Camber Compensator.

Underside has been texture coated for sound reduction and then color matched
to the exterior paint for a clean look.

Disc brakes on all four corners.

Transmission was rebuilt by KCR to match the horsepower of the engine
and is a "Pro street" level build with heavy duty side plates, etc as well as
freeway flyer gearing for today's fast paced world.

Adjustable front beam with disc brakes up front

Dual stage master cylinder.

Photo during the restoration showing the body off the chassis and in primer.

The car has been a consistent award winner and show stopper as a "vintage" looker

Beautiful car and from a builder that really attended to some details
that most would overlook. Definite pride of ownership that you will appreciate as a new owner.
