1962 VW Beetle Convertible For Sale

This is a very impressive custom 1962 Convertible...multiple show winner,
featured in magazines, the whole shot!
Here it is on the cover of Volksworld Magazine!!

The restoration was done about 9 years ago now.
It was built by a fellow in Southern California with a very impressive eye for detail.
Really every nut and bolt and top quality parts throughout.
The car sold off our website several years ago and went to the current owner in Seattle Washington.
He has kept it garaged, driven it very sparingly, and it still looks fresh and beautiful today.

Lots of nice small custom touches...the cloth covered sun visors, etc.

Fully detailed under the hood with matching upholstery, etc.

High end audio system...here are the amps.

These are current day photos by the way...great color combination, excellent top
Very high level of fit and finish to the whole thing.

Top down it is even more beautiful!

Top quality square weave carpets are very nicely fit. Retractable seat belts up front,
here you can see the interior materials clearly with the tweed insets and vinyl outer with contrasting bone colored piping...just gorgeous!

Fully chromed 5 spoke wheels with excellent tires.

Interior is gorgeous and the color combo very pleasing to the eye.

Audio unit hidden in the glove box, some accessory instruments as well...nice.

Empi trigger shifter with color matched ball and housing.
Check out the Bambus parcel tray under the dash too

Paint is excellent on the car!!
Nice stance...lowered slightly but not "slammed"

Fluted Euro style headlight lenses, accessory bumper bars, chrome is excellent.

The engine is 1914cc, 8 to 1 compression, Engle UZ15 camshaft,
reworked 041 heads, 40x37.5 stainless steel valves, dual springs, solid rocker shafts, swivel feet adjusters,
heads fully ported and polished, lightened flywheel, 1700lb pressure plate,
ceramic coated Magnaflow exhaust, deep oil sump, remote oil filter, remote oil cooler with electric fan.

Great level of detail in the corners...check out the clean hardware on the hinge and the nicely shielded wires for the door speakers
that are hidden behind the panels...see the drilled vents in the panel...really nice work!

Dash looks totally stock!

Wolfsburg crest on the hood.

The car is really gorgeous inside and out.
It was a stunning show stopper when it was first built and it looks to remain in the same shape today.
We are working on more photos of the car to add to the site shortly...so check back for updates.
The car is impressive.
