1966 VW Beetle For Sale

This stunning 1966 Beetle sedan is located in Florida.
It has been fully restored from top to bottom with an excellent attention to detail by a truly fanatical owner.

Sea Blue paint color is original to the car and is perhaps one of the best colors for the era.
Correct two tone slotted wheels with flat caps, only used on the 66 and 67 model years.

European VW 1300 script badge on the back, US spec bumpers and taillights as original.
Proper window rubbers with the chrome trim in place.

Front trunk is very well detailed with the matching spare wheel and
tire, correct trunk liner and even the jack is restored and painted in
correct colors.

This was a body off restoration and the underside of the car shows this clearly.
Extremely clean and dry and nearly showroom level from front to back.

Wiring is all intact and correct and quite clean.
Radio block off plate in place, as is the correct turn signal relay box and more.

The photos really do not do it justice.
This is a car restored to a level far above most that we see.

Pop out quarter windows are a correct and original VW accessory.

Just beautiful!

Interior is done in black basketweave vinyl as original.
Correct rubber mats on the floor. Nice quality carpet set along the footwell and sides as factory.

Dash is spotless, steering wheel looks wonderfully clean as does the pedal assembly and controls.

Correct original seat belts with retractors up front.
Seat frames are cleanly finished, everything looks just wonderful.

Headliner is lie new and is very well fit and tight.

Fully rebuilt mechanicals and spotless dry underneath.

Correct 1300cc engine. Only upgrades being a tasteful upgrade to 12 volt electrics and possibly a slightly newer carburetor.

Front spare tire well is also beautifully detailed!

Super straight and well finished in here.
Note the factory tool roll rpresent in this image.

Spotless door sills and jams, note the correct seals on the check rods and dome light switch
as well as the plastic plugs for the door hinge screw holes.

Headliner is done in the correct pattern with the separate panels for around the rear window rather than the often seen
cheaper 1pc replacement kits.

I love the details in the engine room here. The valve adjustment sticker on the fan shroud, the markings on the air cleaner
and even the correct early German hose clamps on the fresh air hoses.
Fantastic!!

Florida antique car plates and a clean title.
Turn key fully sorted little car that is ready for a new loving home.

Such a sweet face!

Everywhere you look the car shines brightly.
This was not a quickie amateur restoration, whoever built this one knew what they were doing.

1966 was the final year in the US for the big glass headlights.
In 1967 they changed to a smaller ring just around upright sealed beam lights and re-designed front fenders
as well as rear engine lid and apron.

1966 is a sweet spot year for both affordability and drivability in today's fast paced world.
The 1300cc engine is up to the task to keep up with current traffic and the "new" for 66 ball joint front end
makes for a nice ride and improved handling over the king and link pin axle from earlier models.
This car is a great deal for someone that wants a really nice clean, well done example that needs nothing.
