1963 VW Type 3 Notchback For Sale

This gorgeous Florida based Notchback has spent most of it's life in
California.
In fact over the past few years it has been a prolific award winner at
the California shows
before it was shipped off to it's current home in the Miami area.

It is a super clean and super solid example and features a lot of great
accessories and custom touches.
Obviously it is lowered a bit and on fully detailed Porsche wheels,
but other than that it appears very stock and correct.

The car was actually built in September 1962, so it is one of the first
of the 63 models.

The color is Anthracite grey, which is original to the car.
Areas under the hood and such are clean and well detailed.
Nice restored original jack.

The brake fluid resevoir and original washer bottle are present.

Everything is very clean and straight in here.

Excellent

The interior is all new and done in the original colors and
materials...really sweet.

Excellent inside.

Door jams are clean

Very clean and solid car...check out the coco mats and the accessory
parcel tray.

Nice accessory vent shades.
Peek inside and see the great period Empi steering wheel.

Cool vintage "breezie" wind deflectors

Gorgeous fully detailed Flat 4 replica Fuchs alloys.
Peeking through the holes you can see the upgraded disc brakes.

The seats are great...so nice!

The original paint code tag.

Clean inside the front trunk

Very nice

Underneath the engine is super clean and dry.
The engine on this car has been freshly rebuilt with less than 100
miles on it.

Exhaust is all fresh as well.

Very cleanly detailed engine room.
Displacement is a 1600cc, a slight boost over the factory 1500, but
externally
it appears all stock and correct down to the single side draft Solex
carb.

Original material on the engine cover...really surprisingly clean.

The original trunk mat is very nice as well and snaps in place as it
should.

Being an early model Type 3, it has the "pushbutton" dash controls for
lights and wipers.

Awesome period accessory "Coach" steering wheel and horn ring.
Check out the original radio in place under the dash and the nice
carpet dash cover to keep the sun off the fragile dash pad.

Headlights are the flat "H4" bulb type units and nifty flag holder clips
are hooked into the headlight rings.

The paint on the car is nice, but not perfect. It has a little age to
it with a few chips and scratches
and a tiny bubble here and there...but it still remains very
presentable.

Really a sharp looker dont you think?
We are working on getting it outside for some nicer shots out in the
sun and will add those to the website shortly.

Check out the very cool accessory bumper guards on the front and rear
and the clear lenses for the side markers.

Dropped spindles on the front and an adjusted rear suspension...it is
low but not ridiculously so.
Great driver.

Rear window blind is an awesome accessory item!

All the window rubber and body seals look great.

Check out the flat taillight lenses...correct for the year, the large
font 1500 emblem on the lid, also correct.

The accessory bumper guards and overriders are very cool.
Check out the chrome exhaust tip and the triler hitch too!

Wheels are gorgeous! Tires are all fresh as well.

Chassis is very solid

Door seals are very nice

Panels are excellent
Check out the correct window cranks with the ivory knob as wellas the
proper off white insert on the inner door handle

The correct early two tone shift knob too!

These flags you can slip in the flag holders on the headlights...check
out the flip down green visors on the stock visors

Headliner is excellent

Love the seat materials!

In closing this is really a sweet car.
First of all it is a rare early Notchback and it is loaded with all the
cool original details as well
as a whole bunch of rare accessories. With a fresh engine and
everything fully sorted,
it is a turn-key, ready to drive and enjoy car. Dang nice...very cool.
You will get endless compliments and smiles with this one!
