1969 VW Microbus For Sale

Wow!!
This one really catches your eye...great color combo, nice glossy paint
chrome wheels and a pretty white interior...this is a sweet looking Van.

The restoration was done about a year ago, and just this year it received a professionally installed and rebuilt
engine and transmission! So it is really ready to roll.

One of the most impressive things about this Van to me is just how solid the body is.
It is really really solid...far far nicer than the VAST majority of Vans out there.
I saw NO rust anywhere...none!

The restoration is nice but not concours level...but certainly show worthy...it presents itself well.

The chrome wheels and bright colors make it quite the visual icon.
I bet you could rent this thing out to the movies quite a bit!

Lets dive in and look at the details...door jams are clean and solid.

Dash is nice...little shift pattern sticker caught my eye.

Original owners manual

Receipts for the mechanical work are included...this is for the rebuilt engine.
The shop that did the work by the way is one I know and trust...they do great work here in the So Cal area.

Here is the receipt for the rebuilt transmission too...all done earlier this year...lots of money spent.

I saw one little crack in the paint on the passenger door by the mirror.

All glass is excellent and the rubber is as new.

Handles are clean

Slight over extension warp on the drivers door...you only see it when the light hits it just so.

A few small chips and scratches on the bumpers, but the rest looks fantastic

Nice Bus

Reflections down the sides are smooth... not flawless, but very nice.

Wheels and tires are as new.

Underneath is very clean...splash panel is present.

Another "down the sides" shot.

OK...about a week or so ago someone backed into the nose and gave it this little dent.
Darn shame as they didnt leave a note or anything!
This of course can be repaired and repainted, and probably not too expensively.

Passenger headlight ring has a minor flaw...again, an easy swap if it bothered you.

Looks smooth up top...fresh air vent grille is quite clean.

Windshield area looks super smooth.

Stand back a bit and you dont really notice that anything is wrong.

Overall a very clean machine!

Under the Bus is really clean and dry...new high end shocks are on all four corners.

Fender wells and much of the underside are painted in body color.

New trans!!

Incredibly solid underside!

'This is the "wow" shot for me...the panel under the battery... no rust to be found...amazing!

Engine is fresh and I like the use of the deep sump for some added oil capacity.

Engine is really all new and very clean indeed.
Less than 500 miles since the rebuild of the engine and trans.

Spare wheel and tire.

Headliner and hinge covers are new.

Bright white interior is a perfect contrast for the red exterior and it is quite clean.

Amplifer for the audio system.

Bass woofer box on the rear deck.

Cargo floor is super clean.

New panels all the way around.

Very nice!

Seat belts at all seating positions!

Dash is super clean

Nice

Door panels look great and the armrest vents are in good shape.

Very interesting clear Blaupunkt speaker grilles on the front speakers!

Front floors are excellent...clean and super solid.

Front seats are excellent.

Floor mat has a couple chunks missing out of it on the drivers side, but it is clean and is most likely the original.

Very nice interior...love the colors!

Nice and clean eh?

Oh...it is a VW...did I mention that yet?
( duhh... as if it could be anything else!!!)

Rockers are superbly clean and solid

Front floor from underneath look very solid.

Wheel arches are again, super solid!

Hust Bus shifter is an uncommon thing to see...very cool!

Pioneer head unit is well fit.

Nice to see the original writing on the column support.

Odometer reads almost 45,000 miles. Unsure of the actual mileage,
but we do know the engine and trans have less than 500 miles on them.

Drivers side floor is clean and solid as well
(a little water from a car was 30 minutes earlier)

Steering wheel looks quite nice.

In closing I think you will agree that this is a very clean example.
This is a 69, so it is one of the "Early Bays" that are quite desirable and gaining in value these days.
Its well done, very pretty and with the new engine and trans it should provide years of fun for the new owner.
